Such a good idea to bring different clothes! I live in North Dakota and the weather can change quickly! I need to put some extra clothes in our enclosed trailer
Hey I really love your mushroom person that looks like a pop a dress dough boy. Atleast I believe it's a mushroom or fungi person. Nothing is instore or anything how much is one?
Love your plushies. Markets can be very quiet here. Lots of people looking but no one buying. The stalls can be expensive too. Anywhere from $40 to over $200.
Awesome recap and sales! I'm so glad you get to sell out so much! 2 questions: How often do you do markets? What is that fluffy green yarn in the background a couple times?
I have an Idea, on days like your last day in may where you did not have time to make stuff that night you can make more stuff during the market to entertain you and somewhat add some things to the market while your there.
Did notice uou use s lot if chunky yarns most all my room has worsted weights I’m also just learning how to read patterns cardigans are my top workings
Using kits helps tremendously! I will say your prices are way better than the Woobles (which is who I started with) and I definitely wish I would've found you sooner instead of them!
I spend most of my time crocheting but never knew how to create things for market I needed this I do a few vender fairs with other things but now I m kinda stuck with my handicap hours
I just came across you in my suggested things to view on RUclips. I was so excited to see my booth @woodworn_yyc on your video when you were at the bridge last night market. Thank you for all your advice on markets. It was very helpful. Your crocheting is so cute!!!
Hey, I stumbled upon your channel because I follow crochet by Genna. I was pleasantly surprise to know that you’re in Calgary too! Your plushies are so cute!! What yarn do you use for them? I’m just getting into using a softer yarn for toys but can’t seem to find decent velvet yarn. I’ll be checking out your boxes too! 😊
So I am a kid around teenage years and I love crocheting it’s one of my favorite things to do And I want to do a market but I’m kinda scared nothing is ganna sell and I’m ganna leave disappointed do you have any tips of what I should make right now I have t,Rutledge bees squid’s any type of animal so any advise would be great 😊
Hi! A few questions, 1) how long did it take you to learn to make plushies? 2) do you have any disclaimers you put at your stall? 3) any tips for someone JUST starting crochet? love the video thank you ❤️
I can answer one of your questions as a crochet person. Tips that I have are, watch lots of beginners tutorials on RUclips. They helped a lot when I started learning.
A lot of practice! Probably a few months of crocheting every day helped me learn how to make plushies well. I don’t disclaim anything except that safety eyes aren’t safe for kids under 3. Stay tuned for a video about starting out at markets 💕💕
how do you (or anyone nice enough to answer!) find local markets? Im only aware of one place near me, but it seems especially hard when they are one time a year events!!?
Hi, I’m new to your channel and I wanted to make something to sell so I can donate towards Maui and it’s citizens. I was thinking of making turtles to sell but I’m having a hard time with the yarn. I’m using Bernat Blanket yarn and I love it but for something so detailed and small, I find it hard to see the individual stitches. I was wondering what yarn you use and is it easy to get. Thanks for your help.
Is there a pattern for the mushroom guys and/or the Dino’s and if so do you mind if we sell them? I’m preparing for a craft show too! I totally understand of course if you don’t want us selling them/don’t want to release the pattern since you sell them, just thought I’d ask!
@@yarnybox ok, thank you! I just figured I’d ask because I have seen just a couple patterns that the creator has specified that they don’t want you to sell the finished item, and I know that legally I could but morally I figure I better ask just in case
How do you sell your crocheted animals with safety eyes at Craft shows? Do you make the customer aware that they may be a safety hazard for children? I have a bunch ready to sell, now I am worried about that. What do you do?
You could have a sign or tell people if you wanted! To be honest, most of my customers are buying for kids/adults over 5, so it’s not a huge issue for me 💕
Okay, I know I’m old, but who is your customer? Who buys this kind of stuff? I had no idea that there was such a huge market for obscure plush characters. And when I say obscure I mean as opposed to the usual animals like cats, dogs, farm animals, wildlife. I can honestly say that when I was a child I never wished for a plush octopus or mushroom. Please don’t think this is criticism. I’m just trying to understand the customer.
Put a hat on the crab. 🙌🏻💖
Great idea!
Nice idea, make it whimsical will attract people with the humor 😀
Doing my very 1st market on Saturday so nervous!
I go to a very small town market and a lady sells so many crocheted things. Who knew? I love your creations!
I’m so proud of you. Markets are hard work. You did a great job. Look forward to following your videos.
It’s so cool to see your experience! One day I hope I get into markets!
Thank you! Good luck I’m sure you can do it! ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this! Very inspirational for people thinking about taking their goodies to market 😃
Thanks for watching!! 🥰
Loved your video I have tried crocheting with that wool find it very hard. I crochet catnip mice for a thrift shop I volunteer at they sell very well.
Hello fellow Canadian. I’m from Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Your setup looked amazing and I think you did a great job.
Thank you so much!! ♥️♥️♥️
Wow! This was AMAZING! Thank you for all that you shared. It gave me a better idea of how to prep for my first market. I can't wait to see more 😊
Thank you!! Good luck 🤞 💜

im myles daughter and that pink crab looks so cute I would buy it🥰😀

2 questions:
How often do you do markets?
What is that fluffy green yarn in the background a couple times?
Thank you so much for watching!! 🫶 I do markets 3-4 times a month. The green is a yarn specific to my yarnybox crochet kits 💕
Those are all so cute! Do you have any fox or cat patterns? I feel like those would sell well. Maybe you could give them mushroom cap hats!
I have an Idea, on days like your last day in may where you did not have time to make stuff that night you can make more stuff during the market to entertain you and somewhat add some things to the market while your there.
I like watching this market prep its fun ❤
Have you done a breakdown video where you mention the total time spent on market prep for each market?
Your critters are all so cute! I would love to know what you price things.
You’re the one who made all of that?? Wow so proud!!! I’m just starting
I just found your channel. I love to crochet too. I'll be watching!

Omg 50000 o,g congrats biggg sale!!!!!!

I bet if you embroider eyelashes on the crabby plushie, they will go faster.
Thats awesome!!! I am thinking about being a vendor at a craft fair! I am selling a bunch of amigurmi, rings, bracelets, earrings, and scrunchies!
Good luck!!!💚💚
Happy for you!!
The crab is adorable
This is so cool 😮 i only can make a line of stitches and you can make these wow! You have to teach me 😅
I have a ton of learn crochet kits at www.yarnybox.com that teach you how to make animals 💕
@yarnybox thanks sm! They are a but pricey but ill try to support you anyways :)

Do you have a tutorial or pattern for the bee that stands?
What do you use for lighting in your night time markets? I have my first one coming up soon and I’m unsure of what to use.😅
Solar string lights from Amazon and a table top lantern!
Fairy lights would look so cute!
Omg, I want to buy all the dolls ❤❤❤

Im starting to do markets as well! Im wondering where you got your crates?
Any craft store sells them!

The Mushie guy is from Rockymountaincloset and the octos are handmade.by.hennek

What is the name of the yarn you use? New sub
How much do you sell the small frogs?
I’m trying to crochet some to do market. I don’t know how to price can you share how much you sale them or how you figure what to charge. Thanks
Your hourly rate + cost of materials is a simple way to figure out pricing 😊
How much are they large jellyfish?

how much do you sell the huge jellies for?
The biggest one is $80 CAD!
Just wondering, you sell alot of your plushies, but do you ever keep some to have as your own, which you dont plan on giving away or selling?
I usually only keep the ones I don’t find good enough to sell 😊
Quick question, do you have any tips for making plushies quickly? Thanks!!

I think the pink lining throughs off the crab maybe if it was a solid it all over or other color but that pink.
I feel some of the problems that items didn't sell is because customers may just want to spend around 20 dollars in general.
I am so sorry to bother but we're did you get your yarn for your stuff
