Literally can't believe Soomin got eliminated this round.... Imo her performance was the most captivating out of them and I just loved how she wasn't afraid to make her voice "ugly" to make it sound good and fit the song and storytelling.
The purpose of this competition is to build a group full of singers. I think the judges think that Soomin isn't suitable to be part of that group due to the fact that she can't sing a lot of other genre (If you watch the top 10 right now, most of them are versatile) They are trying to find 5 girls that goes well with each other. Even if how good of a singer you're, if your voice, character, or even personality doesn't go well with the others, it's useless. They wanted a group that harmonize with each other in different aspects.

She added traditional Korean elements to both, but the mood and genre she used was still very different and showed she can do different styles. Additionally Yunjeong also adds operaic element to most of her songs as well. Also in this particular stage Soomin's voice and character went really nicely with the others. Her traditional Eastern alto set the dark mood and highlighted Yunjeong's Western soprano. In fact, those two really went well together while IMO Seojeong(white shirt) was the one that didn't fit with the others in this particular song. Her style kinda cameleoned Yunjeongs and was neither distinct enough to make others stand out nor expressive enough to greatly set the mood of the song. She's a good singer but she doesn't add as much to the performance compared to the other members.
The blending of the opera singer and the traditional singer was incredibly insane. It gave me goosebumps. Their expressions were on point as well. As for the one in white, in my own opinion, her voice is great but she lacks expression. Overall, this is a powerful and amazing performance.

Anyway, the tiger spirit unalived him and kept his soul as a ghost. The song is from the ghost's POV. He's looking for a lonely traveller to take his place. He is basically calling onto the traveller, treating him like a guest, inviting him in for tea and telling him the story in the first paragraph. The part where the song crescendoes is where he is basically showing his true colours. Then there is a prayer to Namuwamitabul to save him. Then he says that he can pray to the gods of the forest(bear god) sea, sky(pheonix god) and goblin god, but no one will save him. Basically, he unalives the traveller and now the traveller will have to take his place as the tiger spirit's slave and the og ghost can be free. Also, the og song is Changgwi by Ah Ye Eun.
