I think we’re all getting sick and tired of hearing about miners that cost several thousand dollars to make a dollar aday. Also new companies without tested reliability is another issue.
I commented on rpm last video about this Miner saying that the ROI would be over 800 days and someone called me a 🤡 saying what if ETC goes to $300 per coin.. I know that in the last bull run ETC did have a good run but It was only because it was listed on Robinhood app and everyone thought it was ethereum. I heard a good saying the other day that relates to this . Crypto mining is that same as the gold rush .. only one making bank is the one selling the shovel.

Thank you for taking the time to do this! Really. But, I'm not buying the 5.18GB of RAM based on efficiency excuse. These things are undeniably efficient but it is more realistic to believe that they had a set budget and this was the ram they had access to. Many don't know that Jasminer has a close relationship with Intel. Oh, and the QE's tested differently for me. I actually found a sweet spot in temperature that impacts the hash rate by as much as 100-200MH on average.
It could be that your ASIC has better contact to the thermal paste or you won the Silicon lottery
Less is more is the theme moving forward, especially if no one specific POW project stands out. In turn the industry will be equal if not more secure, all while using less power. Its also time for the ASIC manufactures to start looking at an exchange / recycling program as part of their strategy. I expect there are a lot of cases that could be repurposed.

Nice. WIth ZIL going PoS, I don't mind the low amount of RAM. Might pick up one of these to replace my E9 Pro, which is using over 3000W for the same hash rate

Yes, the efficiency with on chip memory its directly related to how far across/through the die it needs go to access the memory and its nanometer thickness(eg.7 nanometer). Miners like the Jasminer need to go through their memory controller to access the memory and require a longer distance on the PCB between the items (ASIC chip to controller to memory and back). Ask them what the thickness of the chip is as it is directly related to heat as well.

Did you notice the rejected shares on K1 for Octaspace? Mine also has that issue. I haven't tried any other pools yet but it does not do that with ETC.
@RedPandaMining did you have any luck getting a base EZ100-C-3800 firmware. I have yet to hear back from Bombax. Sadly right now I have pretty much an expensive paper weight.
