I live in Hamburg since 30 years I enjoy every single day in this beautiful city I ❤️ it. Hamburg is a world city you meet people from almost all counties of the wild like NYC in Europe but it’s much peaceful and stress less. Even if the weather is mostly rainy but I’m going walking around Alster and dancing in the rain. ✌️
How can you say that ? Hamburg the 2nd biggest city in Germany, I only see a few Asian, muslim or black people on the street. It seem that 99% people are European tourist or German. Have you been to New York,LA, Houston, Sydney, Melbourne, Vancouver, Montreal, Boston etc. They are United Nation cities from all over the world include European backpackers travel and live there for decades.

I remember driving through Hamburg, in convoy with Police assistance in 1989, and it has changed so much, I am so impressed at how. I must tell you that your videos are giving me so much pleasure, and information. 18:45 The city hall building is incredibly beautiful. It was built in the late 19th century, so not that long ago. The attention to detail, everything so tasteful and subtle. It really makes me wonder why we are no longer able to produce such beautiful architecture. From the 20th century onwards, architecture became mostly horrible, an aesthetic nightmare.

The City is located at the beginning (or end) of the Elbe river which flows into the North Sea at the point where Hamburg ends. The Elbe River also flows across Germany which made it an important inland trading route over centuries. Hamburg has always been a thriving Hanseatic city but sadly it got heavily destroyed in WW2 (like all major German cities). However today it’s the richest city in all of Germany.

I visited Hamburg in the 1980's. Nice city, and you can always tell that vehicles are local. The HH licence plates.. Happy Hamburg... I had a great time in Hamburg, most of the people were friendly, but not all.. I remember some older Hamburgers not being happy when they realised I was British. Calling me a dirty Brit. The memories of world war two were still fresh with some people... The Saint Pauli district and Gross Freiheit was a revelation..

That said, Hamburg offers more than Manchester (at the moment), but Barcelona is better than both I think that is not a capital. Frankfurt too is not a capital but is also nearly 6 million in its metro area. Then there's Milan, again nearly 11 million in its metro and the largest city in metro area outside London.
