Thanks for the video. I have got a TCL 55c845. I'm unable to connect to 5 ghz. It's connecting to 2.4 ghz for some reason. I've got 100 mbps connection, eero6 + device. I'm getting 5G on other devices.

After 5 years of constant use, our old Roku TCL stopped working. We bought one like this and WE HATE IT!! it's going back to Target and we will go to Walmart and get a Roku TCL.. HATE THIS TV!!
Why did you hate it?
I'm in kind of the same boat. I bought a TCL UM8. It's a fantastic TV, but Roku OS is so much easier to use than the Android TV. When I hit the home button on the new TV it does nothing lol. I have to use the voice command to switch apps.

I’m going to have 3 Q7 TV’s next to each other in my basement. Are you able to use each remote independently without affecting the other TV’s, or does Google TV phone app have a way to use each device? (Similar to the Roku remote app). Thanks!
You should be fine as long as you connect Bluetooth on each one and do point in the direction of the TVs when you control them. That’s how I film reviews. You want to avoid the ir from picking up. Maybe label each remote and cover the tv sensor after the Bluetooth is setup

You’re input source, keep in mind that usa is 60Hz and the UK is 50Hz

@jimmys7985 maybe you’re using 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz on your wifi. When you press airplay it should have a code that links your phone to the TV
So if i sign into my google acct on this tv, does that mean anyone who turns it on has access to my google account? Im looking for a tv to cast my laptop to in my office, but thinking this isnt going to be very private lol if thats the case
Most people create a family gmail account, and you can setup security for different profiles

Would doing this still allow me to cast my "real""google acct (photos) to the tv from my laptop. Im using this to share a portfolio to my clients... and that portfolio is on my "real" google acct lol
@glassslippergourmet your better off using an HDMI cable, it will be be consistent with no issues. Some people use apple products like an iPad and a Apple TV

Only with HDMI cec, i think you will be missing too many buttons

Its a shared TV. I'm not giving it my google log in. Why is it blocking youtube log in? This TV is trash. It wants access to everything. Massive security risk. Its so weird that it block ALL app use. No RUclips log in allowed. So weird
Not impressed the TV has you on a short leash wit what apps you are allowed to install you can't even side load the apps

It labeled apps at the top of the homepage but only if you setup as google not basic.
Are there 📺 TV'S WITHOUT Apps .. just plain screen not a smart 📺 tv
It’s called a computer monitor at this point
