  • Today we’re going to show you how to install a reverse osmosis (RO) unit. I know that after all that the tutorials we’ve been putting out, everybody’s excited to see the eggs hatch, so it’s the perfect time to go over the RO unit.
    Whether you buy it from us or whether you buy it from anybody, this is how you’re going to do your install. We will go over how you are going to assemble it when it comes to you, because when it’s delivered everything is sealed in the box and it looks very sophisticated.
    Although it looks very rough, it’s actually very simple to put together.
    As always, keep those questions rolling.

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Just found this video just now, bought an AquaticLife RO Buddie 50 GPD Reverse Osmosis Filter last week. Now I am disappointed I didn't get yours. Oh well, I am a small breeder just starting out and only use 15 gallons a day for water changes. I turned my living room into a fish room. If I find a market for my fish and grow this business (I hope), and need a bigger RO Filter, you'll be hearing from me. But I knew I was on the right track when I bought one. City water is expensive, and on the Florida Aquaphor, our PH out of the tap is over 8.5 or or more, so this will help me reuse my water and not have to buy so much from the city.
    My digital PH meter is coming next week so I can be accurate when I lower the PH one point a day, so I don't cook my fish. I want everything to be perfect.
    Plan to put my Bettas on a drip system and have the waste water go through a sump. Some how all of this is going to come together, and I will probably learn how by watching your videos. God Bless.

    What? Any RO unit I have ever seen has the sediment filter BEFORE the carbon filter. Why are yours reversed?

    • @JackWattleyDiscus
      @JackWattleyDiscus  5 лет назад +3

      Because it's likely the carbon will also release residue which will be stopped by the sediment filter before attaching itself to the membrane. The sediment has no other purpose.

    • @tvideo1189
      @tvideo1189 5 лет назад

      @@JackWattleyDiscus Sorry, but you are running this backwards compared to every other RO unit on the market.
