- Mets new bullpen acquisition Ryne Stanek was definitely surprised to be dealt from Seattle to New York ironically on his 33rd birthday. Stanek is "excited" to be joining a veteran club that's playing well and he's focused on helping the Mets continue to win. He does have some familiarity with the clubhouse counting bullpen mate Phil Maton and Harrison Bader as close friends
