I've heard about this SciFi Film Dark Earth. Who knows when this might me ready? Also, This Stop Motion Rex would look better with Muscle & Skin on it. Whatever it might look like?
Optional Rig mount if needed. Rib cage fabrication is extra work and one usually not needed because foam or silicone layer can be thick over cage, however If it's 'thin' latex skin over cage (like Tippett T-Rex go-mo test), then it helps achieve realistic skin movement sliding over cage. Kept this design very basic with the 'LIO built like a tank' philosophy. It may look delicate but strong to hold poses, it is not going to loosen or break.
You can tell it will move nicely even if it doesn't have that sliding rib cage. Actually it doesn't look very delicate, it looks like it has exactly what it would need. I can't wait to see what Peter does to this to flesh the rest out!

I've kept up with this project for a looooooong time. What I've seen is very impressive.
Beautiful armature!
Fantastic work Lionel! Almost seems a shame to cover it up with the foam rubber!
Excellent all the way around! Very interested in the idea of retro indie anti-hollywood film making, hope this armature is put to good use!!!!
I’m making an indie adventure movie with stop motion dinosaurs too, it’s coming out in 2025!
Freakin awesome!

Really nice Lio! Will he have any kind of rib cage under the silicone/foam casting? Or is that hole in the chest for a jumping rig connection?

Is this one of yours, Lionel? Amazing work as always. I recall the term is "Gnats Ass".
