Your take on the TD is why I watch this channel. When I threw 330 I watched absolutely everything for advice. A year of fieldwork later, I'm a 380-430 guy and I realize a lot of content out there isn't talking to me anymore. Advice from lots of channels weren't matching up to reality anymore. People experience this game differently at different skill levels and that's like 🤝totally cool man🤝
The people that are throwing a destroyer on 250ft holes don't care. I got a friend who throws his halo destroyer on any hole from 250-500. Anything under 320 he can park it from all angles. Carries probably half the discs I do. If it works for you that's all that matters.
Ngl bro I’d love to agree about beginners throwing fast discs but when I started I kept turning stuff over and now I hyzer flip Calvin destroyers at like 600ft if it’s only a 30mph headwind. Usually I get them to go about 980 hyzer flip. Not too bad. I only throw forehands btw. And usually I play w a broken arm. 🫡
I know this is a Discmania video, but you mentioned really liking 11 speeds and recommending them to newer players. The Axiom Vanish is super slept on for that slot. Tons on plastic options as well
The new s-line dd3 are like a true 12 5 -2 2 disc for a 400-450’ thrower like yourself. Usually discs with those numbers are pretty squirrley for higher arm speed but those new dd3 are the perfect hyper flip bomber
Bro, your comment about the 250 “tds are beef” was actually gold. Slightly snarky? Could be… BUT it’s actually really helpful for people to understand. I see it all the time in review videos where guys throw shots not designed for the flight numbers and call it beef or understable… I have about 400-425 power on good days and I’m changing how I play and trusting numbers like 9/5/-1/2 or 12/5/-2/1 or 10/5/-2/1 like the TD. You can notice the difference on forehands especially in the woods. They just give dead straight effortless distance and you can throw more controlled since you don’t need that much power. Props to you for the comments on the TD. What is funny is that the “beast” from Innova never got love but it’s the same disc pretty much. Would you say the TD is a more versatile cd1? Or maybe a more torque resistant infinite dynasty? (If you haven’t throw a dynasty you should!) thanks for the content!
I like that you talked about people calling certain discs, beefy or over stable. The biggest thing that I’ve noticed is beginners, for some reason, expect their disk to fly the same way as when a professional throws it. I’ve been trying to get it through to my dad that it’s not about the flight numbers necessarily. Your arm and your form are going to also contribute to how the flies. For me a like the Rollo, which is made to flip over, turns over nicely when I throw it on a Heiser but for my dad, the disc is super over stable because he can’t get it up to speed. I wish more content creators and pros would talk about this. On a backhand. My dad can’t even get a five speed to fly the way that it should. I wish more content creators would recommend beginners to use putters and lower speed discs to practice and get your arm speed better. You are never going to be able to get a nine speed on a backhand to fly properly when you were first starting. it doesn’t matter how stable that is supposed to be. It’s going to dump over to the left every time because you can’t throw it hard enough.
"Full flex no real highspeed turn ffs omg"-gang? I'm one of them, its ok for me, I know that I need to put some anny on my GStar, Star Destroyers if I want them to go 350' unless in a massive headwind ;D
Unrelated to the video, but can you share your 3 must play courses in the MSP area (not counting BRP)? Headed there in a few weeks! Love the videos man.
Man this video was just one of my favorite ones yet. Been loving Discmania, absolutely love Frank Liske and man the content was just hitting home. Glad the Links are working for ya. 🤝
Hey man, I was the kid you fist bumped at hornet's nest. I'm excited to see that video. Lmk if you wanna play stumpy- I would have the home-field advantage. I love the content man, keep doing it
Very good to hear it from the creators over and over again. And it might just be the wrong 10-speed for you, speed is not only max distance potential. A sharp 9 speed is made for distance way more than a blunt 10 speed one from some experience eg. new Champ Valkyrie (sharp slow slower speed distance driver) vs used Duraflex F Model S (pretty blunt control driver). Hard to get a Firebird as far as a straight Midrange as well :P
BROD its about fuckin time you finally throw a DD1, ive been trying to get you to throw one of those beautiful discs for too long, glad you like it too. Them frisbees really do go so far especially when beat in god i love em 🤝 Also gonna pick up a Td after this and the MD5 is solid af after throwing mine i remember us talking about it when we played
@broderic TODAY...lol. looks like you found your putter. Honestly makes me watch your channel. Carves up wood courses and cages the putt...good content
I like the content. However, the mustache has to go. I bet your girlfriend agrees. As a meathead myself, no lifter would allow that in their friend circle.
The Brod DM beef will NEVER be squashed 😡
The essence is my workhorse definitely one of my favourite discs

Shots fired at the 250ft full flight destroyer throwers regarding the flight of the TD lmao 🤝

Yo come out to dry creek!!! South of Charlotte (30mins) but Dry Creek is a 9200ft Par 70 open/wooden beautiful course.
Playing there tomorrow potentially 🫡
@@brodericI’ll pull up, it’s my home course💯💯
You flipped my Blue DD3 back in AZ if I remember correctly. Might've been the same round you threw on to that front porch across the street💪

new Discmania is so slept on. Everyone’s riding the MVP hype train while Discmania is putting out some pretty sweet plastic 🤝
Best plastic and discs, I completely agree
Some solid stuff for sure🤝
Happy for you guys that like it but the pros don’t, and that will probably keep sales lower than they could be.
Also links are the best putting putters ever, exo hard or exo soft
They treated me well🤝
Those S-Line DD3s bomb after you play a few rounds with em
I believe it🤝
Love Frank liske! Surprised you didn't encounter any wind there. I swear everytime I play there its the windiest day of the year
Cosmic Stone in C-Line is so reliable for any kind of approches
full flight destroyer gang going to be comin in hot after that TD take

The Link is sneaky good. I’ve got a pair of white Nate Perkins yin yang owl stamped Exo Hard Links that are pretty nice 👀
Oooh those sound sick. I think I remember that stamp. Don’t lose them in the snow (that I assume you gotta be dealing with right now🤮)
You should throw a 161-165 gram fission octane. I got one recently and I can hit over 400 consistently with it. and I have a noodle arm
“If you throw a 10 speed 280 you really aren’t getting the disc up to speed” - if only more people could understand this.

Links are also great throwers. Need to get some to not just putt but throw. Dead straight on a rip.
Brod were u playing at
Discmania is my favorite company bar none, the plastic is unreal
Definitely some solid stuff🤝
Broderic, if you have a spare black mystery box code, I will use it. Thanks for content- subscribing.
Woke up and chose violence against us 250 FF’ers 😂
Brod always jkeeping it real for the full flighters. Ruthless in this one.
The old music is back? Hell yeah.
you skipped 3 of the best holes! its fun to watch you play my home course though.
Great frigging show bud! Found your missing link 🤝
I see what ya did🤝
All things aside with trilogy, the westside crown is the best pa3 comparison I’ve come across
Crown is a lot deeper than a pa3 if I remember right 🤷🏽♂️

Commenting on another guy’s mustache is more than a little creepy.
