Amazon closing seven Quebec warehouses as employees are left scrambling

Hundreds of Amazon employees in Quebec are left to pick up the pieces following the shutting of warehouses across the province.
Amazon Canada says it is stopping operations at seven of its facilities over the next two months, which is resulting in more than 1,700 layoffs.
The e-commerce giant says the move is being done to find “better savings for its customers”, and not over the recent unionization in Quebec.
