Steve Aioki worked on another track of theirs also. It's the 4 vocalists only and a very different style -- called The Truth Untold.
I guess no one has told you that their albums are thematic. Love Yourself - Tear was all about the dark side of love... it includes Singularity (solo intro by V), Fake Love (title track) and also this song on the B side. The outro for tear is a banger.

The remix is definitely better than the original. IMO. Everyone has their own taste but this more hype for sure. Also, I know you’ve heard three very different sounds from them so you can clearly see their versatility. But their roots are in hip hop. All of their old stuff is heavy R&B and rap. All three of the rappers have their own mix tapes too.

Yeah, I don’t think the lyrics of Mic Drop are stellar especially in comparison to their own repertoire but I agree that the Original version does have stronger lyrics. Except I like “someone stop me, I’m bout to pop off” better than “loddi Doddi.”

Most of this song was actually in English. Although I think it is easier to tell when it's RM (the rapper with the blond hair) because his accent's so good. You haven't mentioned being interested in the lyrics, but if you are, you can always turn on the CCs, which are english on all their MVs.

when I first heard mic drop I thought it was as perfect as it could get. I thought the remix would be useless. Somehow Steve managed to make it even better.

Before I saw them impress America on SNL, this was the track that sucked me into the BTS world. Loving every minute since.
Another song where Hoseok killed his part. I remember this dropped the next day after Thanksgiving? I had been so excited. It didn’t disappoint. One thing I love about BTS is how versatile they are with their music. I loved that you acknowledged that they’re really up there and on the world’s stage. I don’t know if you’ve heard already but Ed Sheeran helped produce their song Make It Right and Yoongi, the one with the white/blueish hair color made a song for Ed which will probably / most likely be featured on his new album.

I knew them since 2015. I only knew DOPE and I Need U that time but they really got me hooked because they dance so in sync with each other. But when the Mic Drop mv came out, that's when I decided to be an ARMY. You can really see their passion and I just loved them for that.

Yes they have a few more songs with steve aoki, you can easily find them on youtube, they also did a collab with nicki minaj on their song IDOL and ed sheeran produced the song ‘make it right’ from their latest album, they also did a song with the chainsmokers. Basically they made songs with a lot of famous artists 😂

I must aay that this is original work of RM. Sometimes Im still bitter that he did not get proper credits to this song. And I believe that the original is better. Though I am happy that Steve is happy for a successful remix of this song. :) But they performed mix of original and remix at the SNL. :)

So... someone recc'ed you the SNL Mic Drop... Why?? It was thier worst live performance of it. There're so many others they could have requested. 😭 Jin was batting a cold and they were all so tired from jet lag and it just... wasn't up to thier standards at all. Interestingly it was also pre-recorded and people there said they'd done lots of rehearsals. Why the broadcast chose that one... 😞 I can't bring myself to watch your reaction to it.
But, Jino, are you going to do a reaction to the original Mic Drop? 😃 Her Remix gets all the love and attention, but the original paved the way. She has a much more 90ish laid back style to her, less aggressive than Steve's Remix, but by god do I love her and she deserves to (hopefully 🤞) be appreciated.
