Plan to spend the night at The Virginian in Medicine Bow. I’ve stayed there twice and it really takes you back in time.

Wyoming offers a special feeling in History and personal experience. It is a Benefic energies feeling to me.

What a great story. Interesting to hear that the military was twice what the local population was.

Didn’t see the big ugly black building that faced 30, had a pretty good restaurant in the 60’s, always stopped there until 80 bypassed 30.

The train in the area brought trade and people to this area ! I have visited this area around 20 years ago when my son lived in the area!

Your works are such Professional Productions, with excellent Narration, and truly an enjoyment to watch.
I just discovered this Channel today, have watched about 3 - 4 and Subscribed to support your efforts.
      A Sociologist/Behavioralist
and Historian, I enjoy the History Content and observing the Human Behavior.
I hope to see about a 50 min +/- episode. Maybe a Special Series can warrant some longer pieces.
I've a particular fondness for Nevada, (lived there 17 years), and the Ancients that inhabited the West, DNA now revealing that the Mayans drifted North, others too no doubt, escaping the Spanish and their destruction.
Best Thoughts and Great Successes ...
      Beth

I had no idea that trains had those huge snow removers back then. I thought that was a more modern invention. It is amazing what people back then could accomplish from sheer will power.

I bet the fearce winter storm of the 1918/1919 was indeed horrific. But I think this winter has been as bad.
    Interesting town. Thank you.

Medicine Bow, was all set to have I-80 go through, on the same route as old 30. But, it didn't happen, and the town shrank big time. I live in Cheyenne Wyoming and I've never been there. But I know of its history. I-80 really did a job on town in Nebraska.

Medicine Bow isn't a ghost town, last I heard there were 245 people living there.

The fossil cabin needs to be moved. It's getting vandalized, and the weather is making its way into the building
