Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore

Florence's most famous church known commonly as 'the Duomo' began its life in 1351 and was completed in 1436, with the Neo-Gothic façade being added between 1871-1887. Over the course of its construction, beautiful frescoes were added, with the most famous being that of Giorgio Vasari, adorning the interior of the massive cupola.
