Great video. I just pulled the trigger on one.
Update: This heli is a dream to fly. I switched from drone to heli. Now I want to add fpv to it.

so if you had to have just one would that be M1 or M2? would it be an omp at all?
I am looking for quality, pretty, and something to grow with.

Got my M1 Evo a few days ago, super happy so far. Much more stable than expected. The only thing I had to do was mellow down the pitch on the flight controller, this thing rocketed away every time I touched the left stick 😅

Ha that’s what I thought when I flew it the first time. It was very punchy on the pitch! I could tell it had big pitch!

I have the OMP transmitter but I see bind and flys only for sale in my area. I take it I could bind it to my Eachine T6 Futaba protocol. Also, what would you suggest for set up? Given its a bind and fly I would have to program it, it wouldn’t come bound or pre set right? I’m mostly a sport flyer now, but I would like to get into light 3-D with flips and other basic movements. Also, around $400 Canadian doesn’t sound like it’s that cheap to me but actually sounds pretty expensive for a small heli. Sure hope it’s durable because I want it partly as a replacement for a sim. I understand they have their use but really don’t like them, they’re just not realistic enough for me. I have Real Flight, perhaps you can suggest a better one. Thanks

Are all 4 modes on this transmitter possible?

I'm looking at the M1 & M2 Evo as my first heli in 12 years. I had quite a few small flybar helis, and mostly indoor. I like the M2 because it's bigger and easier to see, also easier to repair than smaller ones. Also less than 100$ more than M1.. Would you still reccomend statrting with M1, or would I be good with M2. Was also loooking at a cheap XK K110s for 120$ to get back into it... then the M2.. but that's 100ish towards a better one and controller :)
Also I plan to fly it mostly like a regular helicopter, I will get into some 3d eventually.. like fly upside down and some flips after I do some sim..

Very, very awesome 👍👍 review Mr.Camp, Thank you 🙏
Just wondering, if you would choose between this OMP M1 EVO vs Goosky S1, which one would you recommend? I'm not a 3D flyer, just want to cruise nicely and practice my skill. And I don't need a fast helicopter as well. Some other pilots has mentioned that the EVO is kinda "predictable" flying machine, therefore, I'm aiming more to the EVO. But on the other hand, the Goosky S1 is more modern technology and must faster, I'm abit nervous when flying fast bird. What is your thought between the two. Thanks

Hey Justin Great video and review of the OMP M1, wow that is quite. I have been wanting to get a OMP M-2 for a while now, but this M-1 is nice, this one reminds me of the Heli-Max Novus heli's from the 90s, and those were fun. This one does look worth every penny. Thanks again for the video and information.

It’s so good man. I could t believe how smooth it was. Quiet like a baby but stupid fast. Blade tracking is spot on.

Can you turn off the auto leveling and control the throttle on your own ?

For someone who is looking into his first M1 - would you recommend spending the extra 25% on the evo? I'm curious if i's really more durable/crash resistance.

That's pretty cool. That stability mode is crazy. I flew 3D helis for years. I started with a good old fashioned flybar and a pretty primitive tail gyro by todays standards. I flew 700 sized helis mostly. Preferred nitro over lipo even though electric is way more powerful.
Can you tune anything in the stability mode? Like head speed, min/max blade pitch or is it just locked in newbie mode? Also, how many idle up speeds does the stock RC have? Can you change the idle up speeds in the RC or with software? I haven't flown in about 8 years. I was doing inverted backwards hurricanes and piro flips when I quit but I'd like to have a small cheap heli to get back into the groove.
I'm retired now and bored. Just ordered an Avata to try some FPV quad stuff. I have the FPV controller 2 and Liftoff sim and it seems easy enough. I was shooting small gaps at 60 mph in about an hour and a half. Can't wait to see how the Avata behaves. Probably just make me want something faster which is why I went with Goggles V2 instead of 2. lol
