Maganda umaga kumusta brian and lot lot hannah grace and bing and lot lots family. The only way you can stop the water going into your land is dig a trench off the road and about ten feet from the road all the way to the end of your property at the bottom of the other and where your drive way is place some plastic pipe in the the trench and fill around the pipe so it holds it sturdy and then fill the top in enough that it can hold weight over it. Four pieces of long coco lumber or pine then fill over it brian and your water troubles will be sorted it will flow down and through the pipe and down the other end or you could divert it and make a area like a little pond so you can use it for the garden . Or you can get the boys to make channels like they have for cabbages and strawberries to flow along side it will keep the garden moist and grow better . That would be my way of doing it.brian .I know the council should do it but they seen to have other areas there working on. But that could be the answer if the boys dig a trench along the property zone and place pipe near the drive way like a convert back fill it and make it strong enough for trucks or multi cabs to go over it. That should solve the water from flowing through. 🌴🇵🇭 Scott expat in the Philippines 🌴🇵🇭 arleneINDAYLYNZ 🇵🇭 🌴

I LOVE the RAIN, I would have to say that those that dont like the RAIN dont come to MINDANAO, it rains everyday but only for one or two hours then no rain until the NEXT day, its only WATER, not like its poison or flaming spears dropping down from the skies😆 It seems that those that dont like RAIN are the people that drive in it, I dont drive I walk everywhere and the RAIN washes all the black smut away from the skies that the JEEPNYES spew out along with cleaning the streets from all the URINE left from all the PEE BOYS that seem to relieve themselves on the sidewalks and sides of the roads🤷 If something is miserable than you need to change it to make it unmiserable, I finally bought myself a good, relatively thick plastic RAINCOAT that keeps all my clothes dry and I love walking around when it RAINS, just like all the small, joyful kids😁

Glad you power back. Too much rain.
It's definitely been a lot of rain lately.
This is just a matter of frame of mind adapting to the Land, the weather, and provincial culture be happy and contented for what you can afford as a standard of living.
I followed you briefly when you were a city slicker then deleted (didn’t like content then, just like other city bloggers) Now you are the real deal , showing how it is, making improvements, You can move back n forth to your city dwelling when a break from s needed! My wife is Filipino and we have farmed 30+ hec of banana, but prosperity never seems to last long in Phil, Problems always arrive and a sense of humour is required to continue, Cheers n Merry Christmas friend from New Zealand
Thanks for watching again 👍
Mindanao is an island, not a province.
I am too much of a perfectionist to live there ! Couldn't deal with it when I got it made in the USA. No way !!!! Good luck and stay safe buddy !!!!
Nothing wrong with Going Native!! Enjoy the traditional life that has lasted for millenias
I am a fool for the suburbs. I can't deal with being wet or denge fever.
One mosquito bite away from dengue, no matter where you are in P I.
@thomasodetinape4180 It's nasty. It can kill you.
@@connecticutcollectibles8164 Yep, no cure that I know of.
WHAT'S UP MY FRIEND ?? JOHN FROM NORFOLK, VA
Hail to the Redskins
Good for you Brian Im happy you moved out of the city. The chicken's look wonderful.
So how often do you eat lizard adobo?
Never tried it
I am married to a Filipina from Kabacan in Mindanao. We live in Australia and have a good life. I really love my wife, but if she wanted me to move to Kabacan to be near her family, I would divorce her.
Please divorce her
My wife is also from Mindanao. She visits annually but I remain in So Cal.
My loved ones are in Mindanao. After a few visits I understand why all the Filipinos I have known in the US have no intention of going back to Phils.
I just got Mindanao on December 13 and how long you been living in philippines? You mean to say with all the brown outs in philippines you never thought to buy small 3-5 kilowatt generator. I been coming to philippines since 2012 every year except during covid lockdown. Everybody knows when there is large LPA or typhoon there is going to be power disruption.
If you’re living in the province of Mindanao, aside from Davao or General Santos, you generally have a death wish.
You should lay geo cloth lay a couple inches of sand wrap the sand with cloth for water to flow through then put gravel on top, your gravel may get washed out.
Hey Brian what is your living expenses in the jungle, including feeding the whole family; & purchasing incidental, items that you can’t help to purchase @ the market ??🙏🏽🤙🏽👍🏽🍀😁

Love & Prayers from Mindanao, Cheesesteak!
Beautiful simple Philippine province life. We currently live in Manila but vacation to our province in Bohol. Province life is awesome, we fish, crabbing, swimming and boating since we live near the beach there. GL.
I hear you! I'm glad you get to enjoy the province life!
I LOVE the RAIN, I would have to say that those that dont like the RAIN dont come to MINDANAO, it rains everyday but only for one or two hours then no rain until the NEXT day, its only WATER, not like its poison or flaming spears dropping down from the skies😆
It seems that those that dont like RAIN are the people that drive in it, I dont drive I walk everywhere and the RAIN washes all the black smut away from the skies that the JEEPNYES spew out along with cleaning the streets from all the URINE left from all the PEE BOYS that seem to relieve themselves on the sidewalks and sides of the roads🤷
If something is miserable than you need to change it to make it unmiserable, I finally bought myself a good, relatively thick plastic RAINCOAT that keeps all my clothes dry and I love walking around when it RAINS, just like all the small, joyful kids😁
WOW, the answer to everything. A plastic raincoat.
nice place sir for pinoy.
You are right, it's definitely an awesome place to live.
Looking like Tom Hanks in Castaway 😂 .
Many of the women advertising for men are from Mindanao, I've tried to warn my fellow expats but they never listen, they know it all and Mindanao is the place to be. I'd rather live on Luzon and closer to a city, I also don't want to buy a vehicle so not much of a savings if you have to buy a vehicle.
happy holidays/merry Christmas bud to you and yours.... was just thinking one large john deer farm tractor and 2 days of you giggle'n like a mad man and your land issues would be rectified ;)
I'm glad the power is finally back on, maybe things can get back to normal now.

@@PhillyinthePhilippines The monitor lizards are easy to catch, and they taste GREAT ! I ate a bunch of them in Bataan !
@@Dean-b2f that is what I was thinking I am the sort I would have to try it hehe
Amazing.
Glad you think so!
Dam brother lol that rain must suck. Get some buko pie 🥧 and some halo halo.
I suggest some of that real stinky food .
❤❤❤❤
Countryside is too hardcore for my taste, I could never do what you are doing. Merry Christmas.
It’s definitely not for everyone. Merry Christmas
I think you should go on a quest to find that old honda TMX you left down there years ago. I remember you said they told you it's still around the island some where. It would be cool to see it's present owner ride that tough old beast down the road! 😎
Bro, what part Mindanao are you?
Sirigao Island
Province vs city. Having fun in the province requires having an interest in doing province things, what most people call "work". Pulling weeds, building things to improve life. I enjoy all those things. Most people don't. City enjoyment is generally about going out and buying enjoyment. Also fun. Just different.
Exactly. It's all about finding what makes you happy.
We help provide for my wife's family but I don't want to live with them.
Glad everything going OK..
Twinkles!!!.... thanks Brian, I needed my Twinkles injection for the day.
