@lookcatchu Ya hot sauce brings the taste out. I usually use generic spicy sausage from Safeway, or any generic sausage will do. For some reason, it tastes better than Jimmy dean sausage. I use the sausage with Kraft macaroni & cheese. The Bacon gose better with Kraft Mac & chese deluxe, or higher end macaroni & chese.

Cholula is a Mexican brand I LOVE, it is my favourite. I also like Franks Redhot as well. I grew up as a near neighbor to the South, from Buffalo, NY, we love Franks redhot there 😄

I had never seen anyone eat mac n' cheese with ketchup before. I'm usually not a big fan of tomato with cream (I don't much care for rosé sauces), so it feels weird to me, but I will try it and see how I like it. Also, Colby Jack is a marbled cheese, but it is not marled Cheddar. It's a combination of Colby and Monterey Jack cheese. That lady at the supermarket didn't really know her stuff. I guess since both Colby and Monterey Jack are on the milder side, your version of Tini's mac n' cheese probably wasn't too different from hers, ut I'd be curious to see it made with the right cheese. I don't know how common it is in Canada though. Here in Quebec, it's pretty easy to find Monterey Jack, but I don't know about Colby. Also : Colby, where's Jack?

I had never seen anyone eat mac n' cheese with ketchup before. I'm usually not a big fan of tomato with cream (I don't much care for rosé sauces), so it feels weird to me, but I will try it and see how I like it.
Also, Colby Jack is a marbled cheese, but it is not marled Cheddar. It's a combination of Colby and Monterey Jack cheese. That lady at the supermarket didn't really know her stuff. I guess since both Colby and Monterey Jack are on the milder side, your version of Tini's mac n' cheese probably wasn't too different from hers, ut I'd be curious to see it made with the right cheese. I don't know how common it is in Canada though. Here in Quebec, it's pretty easy to find Monterey Jack, but I don't know about Colby.
