As a Russian millenial, our childhood was full of pirated dvds with menus like this. Really almost all dvd menus looked like this. To me it's ordinary, but it's curious to see how other ppl perceive it as creepy

Some have tried to get in contact with ex / former russian bootleggers but apparently they’re just getting fake leads with saying this song was in the intro of a 90’s country show I think.

Lol why is it that only pirates know this song. It's really been bugging me a lot lately. It's as if pirates are the only ones who use/know this song or something. And why on Russian Dvd's. I'm starting to think the Dvd's are by a bootlegging company like Centropy or Pirate Bay that found stock music and just keeps reusing the same music for all of their Russian Multiparade Dvd's. Please if you know any pirate personally try to ask them what this song is and where they think it might come from and what pirating company uses it.
Well I have a few similar looking DVDs I used to watch years ago and the song sounds a little bit familiar but not quite. Hi guys! Yesterday I found out that this song was searched for years. I have had it in my possession for more than fifteen years, without knowing about this. I do not believe it yet! I remember that in 2007 I started having the internet, and on the old RUclips I came across a channel that uploaded video summaries of scenes from Japanese dramas, with very nice songs in the background. In those days it was very common to talk to people through the old internal RUclips chat (something that no longer exists). The owner of that channel created those videos. She was a Canadian girl who loved dramas. The video that sparked my interest in talking to her had images of the drama “Tatta Hitotsu no Koi” with a song that fascinated me. I asked her the name of the song and she told me, without hesitation. It was called “If it wasn’t for you” by a singer called Fox Elipsus. I looked for it and downloaded it, what's more... I still listen to it! But well, getting to this topic, in another of her videos there was a scene from the drama “Hana Yori Dango”, and it was in that video where this song was found. It didn't really catch my attention, but I figured it would be a Cranberries song. I downloaded the dozen videos from that channel, some time before it disappeared. In mid-2008 I lost my channel, but I was able to save those videos. Perhaps, if I had known about this case, I might well have given my two cents. The information I had was that that girl was Canadian, and she loved dramas, as much as ballads. I think I'm sure she knew the name of this song. I would have liked to help those who searched for it by sharing the full song! They reminded me of a beautiful old time! These bootlegs menu make me feel genuinely uneasy. Idk if it's the fact that they're bootlegs with low quality/saturated color videos - activating a "this feels almost familiar, but not enough for me to be comfortable" nerve in my brain, the genuinely disturbing image in the back of the first DVD, the layout which kinda reminds me of the one in the gore/creepy DVD "ensuring your place in hell", the tone of the song, which is completely out of place for such fun, youth-oriented and adventurous stories, or the mystery aura around this whole thing, but I am really uneasy looking at this.
Considering there’s 2 different screens and the second one has athf and the simpsons, I’m assuming that these are supposed to have movies for both adults and kids.

I like to return to this video to remember how users from reddit and, in principle, almost the entire Internet puzzled over the topic "who is the author of the song", and it amuses me how some people write that, for example, "the background in the first menu is creepy", I am a man from Russia who grew up on pirated DVDs, and for me it's not that creepy, because pirates could use more creepy backgrounds for their menus =)
My dad would send these kind of dvds to me while he was stationed overseas in the middle east so even as an american kid these menus are weirdly nostalgic to me.
i have something to add once i was in a bass opshop i'm Australian if your wondering so in that opshop there was a snow white dvd there that was in Japanese and near the end of the dvd around the time snow white got poisoned in the movie the audio was skipped back to the start probs cuz it was scratched but still i MIGHT if im lucky find the dvd there if i go again and you might too so look out if the dvd has 5 movies and the movies contain stuff like shrek surfs up Simpson's movie etc and has the title of МУЛЬТИПАРАД 4 or in english muliparade 4 i think we might find it

Edit: i tried Shazaming the extra second part but to no avail. Sounds like a song about changing the world to a better place and waiting for that change that you want it to be/see.

If there’s a МУЛЬТИПАРАД 3 and a МУЛЬТИПАРАД 4 then it would make sense if there would be a МУЛЬТИПАРАД 2 and 1 which could contain other snippets but correct me if I’m wrong
There is even Мультипарад 7 (it was on sale once), so at least 7 dvds should exist, but there are no other Мультипарад dvds for sale right now. And we don't know if there are more snippets on them or it's just the same ones we already have or just different songs.

so someone in the subreddit went to a forum where all these creators of the bootleg dvd’s were. which cannot be shared due to legal reasons stated by op. the only information op could get out of the bootleggers is that these specific dvd’s were by a company that went by many fake names where basically all the members are impossible to contact, but it was shared by another bootlegger there that they shared on that forum songs to use in dvd’s specifically from ru torrent websites, so that’s where we are searching.
According to the subreddit the songs file name is program, likely due to the people who made the dvd or the dvd program having to read the file as such to play
I have a type of lostwave (The type you dont have a snippet of) It was a kids show on nick jr like barbie or something. The music was just saying "Yoohoo! Yoohoo! (Unitelligible)" I looked everywhere and there was nothing.

i have something to add once i was in a bass opshop i'm Australian if your wondering so in that opshop there was a snow white dvd there that was in Japanese and near the end of the dvd around the time snow white got poisoned in the movie the audio was skipped back to the start probs cuz it was scratched but still i MIGHT if im lucky find the dvd there if i go again and you might too so look out if the dvd has 5 movies and the movies contain stuff like shrek surfs up Simpson's movie etc and has the title of МУЛЬТИПАРАД 4 or in english muliparade 4 i think we might find it

I think the next part is "and you watch/watched me draw the line never really cared about how i felt/feel inside" and maybe also "this world is trying to bring/break me dow -un but i am going to stand my grou -nd" and then the next part that leads to the second chorus which is "how long will it take oh oh oh how long will it take me to feel how long will it take oh oh oh how long until it's the world I thought it would be when i won't need to please i think leads into the bridge which is the second snippet "draw the line" the "dollhouse" snippet seems closer to the end of the song "there's aah so/too much grieeef i'm aah looking for relieeef" then chorus then she says "what I want it to be ee eee ee eee" or when I won't need to plee ee ee e ee ease" and then that leads into the dollhouse part well that's what I think is supposed to be next in the lyrics but hey what do i know 🤷. Edit: i tried Shazaming the extra second part but to no avail. Sounds like a song about changing the world to a better place and waiting for that change that you want it to be/see.

What is the movie on the bottom right corner of the first screen? The main title reads “star adventures” which sounds like it could be star trek but it looks like an animated film. There also weren’t any star trek movies released around then.

There is even Мультипарад 7 (it was on sale once), so at least 7 dvds should exist, but there are no other Мультипарад dvds for sale right now. And we don't know if there are more snippets on them or it's just the same ones we already have or just different songs.

so someone in the subreddit went to a forum where all these creators of the bootleg dvd’s were. which cannot be shared due to legal reasons stated by op. the only information op could get out of the bootleggers is that these specific dvd’s were by a company that went by many fake names where basically all the members are impossible to contact, but it was shared by another bootlegger there that they shared on that forum songs to use in dvd’s specifically from ru torrent websites, so that’s where we are searching.
