In this video join me (and Joli) for a super long plant chores video! I imported some plants recently and they've not all acclimated as planned, so some major plant rehabilitation is in order. There have been lots of plant to do's recently - repotting, watering, dusting, pruning, propagating, repotting, potting up and soooo much more. My plant chores have been getting on top slightly recently and I've been feeling a bit burnt out and overwhelmed by all my plant care. I talk about plant burnout in this video, and some of the things I do to stay motivated when it comes to caring for my houseplants. Thank you to everyone who asked questions, and I really hope you enjoy the video!

When you’re an old grandmother, I hope you’ll have a great grandchild interested in plants and horticulture, and you’ll get to pass down your beautiful plants 🧡 much love from the US
Love the pollination! I'm just confused as to why The comments would be read, but not the video?😂
I love the plopp sound when a new plant name is showing up on the screen ❤
LOL, guess who got a sticky trap stuck on a plant today 🤔😂 Regarding the Peperomias that are like your Ice Queen, I have found that mine prefer to be bottom watered every 4-5 days draining any excess they haven't taken up. Also mine seem to be happiest just outside the range of my growlights, although I have to turn them regularly to keep them sort of upright. That's just my experience with trying to keep them happy. I hope Ross likes his present 😉
Hi Claire! Just one tip : instead of crocodile pins, you could use U pins that are used to hold buns into place (they're sold at any drugstores next to bobby pins). They're larger at the top so they are not risking to harm the plant and they can be bent open super easily, and they plant into the soil super smoothly ! 🌱🌱
Claire are you going to put a tree up? I think that would be a good video you and Ross first tree together 😊
Don’t worry about throwing them out. There’s no reason to keep something around that takes away your “energy of the plants”. No plans for us I am just enjoying my time off watching Plant videos and buying plants! 🪴
I have read that we should “shower” our plants first when pests are present and then treat the soil. I dread the day I have to do it. Good luck!
I never thought I could fall in love with a British girl … but I think I have ,,,, great channel great job … love watching you work .. thank you ,,,
Those little sires bottles are also great when watering terrariums. Sprays go on the prescription which can create rot, so better for it.
I think painting the brown leaves is genius! I will have to remember that in the future!
Claire, I love doing my plant chores with you! It is so hot here in Australia at the moment so it’s nice to have someone to keep me motivated and company. Could you potentially please do a “2024 plant wish list” video at some point? I have been getting mine together and would be interested to hear yours ❤
Painting the leaves... thats great!!! Next time paint it white and it will be an albo!
Get a specified little box or something for remotes to belong so you won't feel stressed out.
So nice of you to take such good care of Ross’s plants!!🌱
If you wind the empty photos vine UNDER the other vines it helps hold them down
Love watching these while doing my own plant care, especially since it takes sooo long! I'm always inspired to actually do pest control - which I put off so much. Thank you and love from Adelaide!
I have a peperomia obtusifolia in pon with a full reservoir, and it grows very well! I just let I go dryer than airoids before filling it up again and voila!
14:47 Oh, I can relate to that 😁
I can supper relate to the remotes!! My man moved in and they just seem to be everywhere!
Hi Claire....Brand new to your channel! Your plants are beautiful.....I think you should take your camera sometime to a UK PUB! HA HA Have a great holiday SEASON........
CCC Austin, TX 🤣🤠😎
Saludos cordiales amiga ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Loved all the great tips you addedin this 📷😊 tfs
Does Ross not watch your videos? Because if he does he definitely knows at least one Christmas present now 😂😅
LOL! I’m glad I wasn’t the only one thinking that! Plus, when we think we are whispering, people can still hear us. I bet Ross was outside the door listening to everything!! Oh, Claire….😂❤️🪴
What a great video! I’ve learned so much from you. I love your watering station and I will have to try a moss pole in semi-hydro!
Thanks Claire ❤
A pony! That's so nice
Love these kinds of videos. Thank you Claire.
Love my plant chores on the weekend!!🎉
Looking forward to Little Kitty, Big City and Neva - Gris is amazing so im very excited! 😊🪷💖
I also keep all the cuttings and end up with a lot of baby plants :D
I go to a very small plant shop once a month and there are a few that also cone regular and they are always surprised that I have so much to bring each time.
If you have problems securing a vine on top of the soil or even a baby plant that wants to tip over, I found tape very useful. I just put a peace of clear tape across the surface and tape it down on both sides of the nursery pot. I also used tape in the same way to make a little handle for one of my tiny pot the other day, so that I can get it out of the cover pot easier.
What is semi hydro? Is that what it's called for me to buy it?
Could you make a video about mold on the soil and how to treat it .
I did do plant chores with you. The trouble is, I ended up downstairs to do some of them. 😆 But I could still hear you slightly while I was down there. LOL. I finally found the aglaonema I have been wanting. It is like the homalomena selby without the trouble. :)
Is that plant not Adelonema Wallisi? It’s related to homalomena. Easy care, grows well but try not let it dry out completely as it droops badly which stresses the plant.
I’ve been wanting to combine 2x Epipremnums. But thought it was too late in the year and risk losing them both.
I’m going to steal your pollination idea because thats soo creative and funny😭
Thanks for sharing!
You are so naturally beautiful!
Love your videos❤
Love it, thank you. Have just taken delivery of lechuza basic pon without fertiliser- have you tried this at all?
hi love your videos, i always lean so much :)
i struggle with soil gnats in my moss poles and eventually stopped using them. i know my plants are not living to the fullest without a moss pole-any thoughts or suggestions on how to avoid the gnat problem? i have just started using nematodes in the last two months for my plants.
thank you so much!
I have found that adding a couple of carnivorous plants to my collection takes care of the gnat problem. 😊
I was about to buy that same advent calendar on Amazon as i saw it was half price but i went back and it was sold out. 😭
If you fancy a nice Christmasy tea, Tea Pigs limited edition Gingerbread and Spiced Winter are both lovely.
Nice relaxing video, thanks Claire.
I'm a big fans your dubia, it is gorgeous 💚🤘
I recently found this channel and I love doing my plant chores with you. I’ve been thinking of switching some of my plants into semi hydro but I’ve never really used it before. I know you use semi hydro for a lot of plants but is there any you would recommend not to do is semi hydro? Do succulents do well in semi hydro?
My pepperomia frost did the same thing as your pepperomia. It went downhill fast! I am so sad about it because it's my favorite plant. 😢 Any ideas why? Mine has a grow light and I am careful to not over-water. Could it be from having to use the heating in the house?
Wow, I hate the paint on the monstera 🙈🙈 sorry. But if it works for you, then good 👍
