- May 9 | Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) joins Nicole Wallace on MSNBC's Deadline: White House to talk about yet another report on the extraordinary undisclosed financial relationship between Justice Clarence Thomas and Republican billionaire Harlan Crow, and Whitehouse's oversight and reform work on Supreme Court ethics.
It's time for Thomas to step down. He is a disgrace. No one should accept any of his opinions & rules. He has lost his value as a Supreme Court Justice. He ain't supreme
I believe if he doesn’t resign immediately he should be prosecuted & held accountable. He is not above the law & the rest of the ones who participated need to be removed by the fastest method possible. America deserves our government to clean up this mess & hold all accountable. Senators like Manchin need to be removed & I put him in the same class as McConnell & is slightly less guilty. He’s just greedy & disgusting.

@@anncata7368 The problem is that justices cannot accept donations like political parties can. The "free speech" referenced in Citizens United does NOT apply to judges, Ann. In fact, of crow claimed his monies to the Thomas's was free speech, it would indicate that they were essentially bribes to Thomas.
Additionally, Congress can lawfully request ANY individual's and ANY organization's federal income tax return from the IRS. The law that allows this was upheld AGAIN last year when the SCOTUS ruled the House had a lawful right to Trump's returns

We need a select investigative committee like Watergate to look into this. This is a serious threat to the rule of law and the country and it needs a group to concentrate on the investigation. The Judiciary Committee hasn't got the time to do a good through investigation.

Yes! We need these investigations, transparency, active judicial conference, laws enacted that hold them accountable.
Somebody needs to look into the possibility of any of Crowe’s associated business dealings are coming before the Supreme Court any time in the near future and forbid Thomas from any vote if there are. Then they need to pull all records of previous cases that have already passed thru and look to see how Thomas voted.
Thomas shouldn't be there. He needs to be a man and resign... NOW !!!

I just finished watching the PBS special on Clarence & Ginni Thomas posted yesterday & it is a must-watch IMO. America MUST hold these people accountable because they are instrumental in American politics & decisions that affect every person in America. Thank you Sen. Hello Nicole, It seems to me the focus of Mr. Whitehouse does not include Republican minority leader Mitch McConnell. He (McConnell), has previously stated on video that his main goal is to take control of the US Supreme court and at this moment, he has succeeded. He (McConnell) is attempting ouroboros for the Republican party and Senator Whitehouse should remain focussed on him. Mitch McConnell is 81 years old.

Back in the bad old days, a Senate subpoena meant that if you got one, you hired an attorney and showed your fanny up and answered their questions. There was no fiddley-farting around telling any Senate committee or House committee to go pound sand. It’s time Democrats found their cajones again and put some kick behind their subpoenas.

What’s the number to complain to SCOTUS?
This is the first time in our lifetime this has happened. Him saying not to mention his wife’s name in certain transactions establishes the fact he knew it was wrong and his intent. If “we the people” don’t hold him responsible we’ll get what we deserve on down the road. The outcome of this sets a precedent which will resonate well into the lives of our children and grandchildren. No SCOTUS should ever be able to cast a vote on anything that would benefit that justice. Another thing, it’s hard for me to believe there wasn’t other justices who knew this was taking place, if so, they’er complicit too. These justices interpret constitutional law, their decisions affect how we live our life on a daily basis… The court is corrupt, now we know it’s corrupt… This is my stance, what say ye??
