UPDATE: They removed the text about working against harmful spells in the last beta patch. SO, it looks like they were considering it but got cold feet.
I think it’s better if it only absorbed magic damage, it will be too OP in my opinion if it abosrbed magic CC too, just imagine if a Mage is playing against a Resto shaman/warrior he has to get through Grounding, shear, pummel, spell reflect, and now intervene just to land a polly
