Every comedian has bombed at some point, but I think the problem is that he's doing a bad impression of his dad. He needs to step back and find his own identity, rework his material, and stand on his own. We may miss our idols, but we will never stand for someone else banking their career on a straight imitation.

I have a story related to Richard Pryor, when my dad came here at the 80s, he worked at the Mann Chinese theater, and during those times, he worked making food in the concession stand. From all the stories he could've said like seeing Harrison ford in a premiere of Indiana jones, roger Moore in for your eyes only or even Star Wars, which he liked, the only memory he remembers and this was before I was born, was he was working at the concession stand, and saw an old Richard Pryor walking with his son, and asking him how the movie was, my dad didn't know him at the time since he came from a world where there wasnt much entertainment, so his coworker said it to him thats Richard Pryor I don't know why that memory stuck out, but later in life my dad loved Richard Pryor work and the memory was very emotional, since that was the last time my dad saw him, since he passed away soon later, I feel bad for his son, but I agree that you should just be yourself. Thank god he didn't make a joke about Marlon Brando and Richard Pryor.

14:30 Can't argue with the skills of the late Charlie Murphy; he was an awesome storyteller. It turns out, though, his early stand-up was TERRIBLE. His first routines were as bad as Mason Pryor's.

He needs to do some warming up at some smaller gigs and write some better stuff. At least he isn't carlos mencia and stealing jokes.

Even Richard himself has bombed over the years (See "Live & Smokin"). I think the mistake Mason did was trying to sound like his father. He needs to be his own man, period.
By the way, no one likes doing a pitty set. He shouldn't of come back, but he needs to keep hitting the stage overall to iron them kinks out. We need to know Mason, not Richard, we already know him.
    I hope he keeps grinding.
