100% agree, and because of this I couldn't resist making an extended version soundtrack! For your listening pleasure @kargaroc386 ruclips.net/video/j2Dku9maDAw/видео.html
I was a kid back in 1996 I played a bunch of SC2k. My family moved across the country and taking off from the airport that afternoon I could swear I heard 'Simcity Segue', watching the brightly colored houses and lawns and buildings scroll beneath me.
The first time I heard the music at 15:40, it was late as hell and I thought I was dreaming. It’s my favorite track. The change in pitch is very satisfying.
I remember the first time trying to play the game and I didn’t understand it and switched to something different 😂 the music was pretty good and nostalgic for me 🙏
It’s wild how SC2000 fans seem to argue over which version of the soundtrack sounds better and it all depends on which version they grew up with. People used to the Mac version might think the PS1 and PC versions sound bad while those like me who played the PC version might think the Mac version sounds off. It’s just a really interesting phenomenon to me. As someone who adores the PC version’s midi songs (mainly on an opl3 chip tho), even I think the PS1 version sounds pretty solid.
They were no good on the consoles, they needed lower resolution, and less details but all the familiar music is enhanced to sound much better, makes it's a better game? who knows..
2:08 es un virus. Mi mamá jugaba tanto ese juego que desde chico cuando tengo que hacer cosas tediosas que llevan mucha paciencia uso de tempo esa base de música mental 😂😂😂
Does something sound off or is it just me? It sounds cheesy, or not cheesy enough... maybe I just need to but a 90's pc and some shitty speakers to fully capture the nostalgia.
This is the ps1 version of the soundtrack. There are many versions of this soundtrack, i think depending on the type of sound card in your pc, youll hear the soundtrack differently. Im still trying to find a version that sounds like my pc did.
The best version of this soundtrack, *period*
