Thanks for the video! I have been looking at this pedal for a while, but I could never hear what I really was looking for in other demos. You nailed it for me! I have owned the CO-1 and it was great, so I have no doubts that I will get a great sounding tremolo now!
This is such a great video! Very informative and inspirational. I just bought a used Boss TR 2, and I am excited about the possibilities. I also have a Cool Cat chorus pedal that I plan to keep for as long as it lasts. The Cool Cat series pedals are an excellent bang for the buck. Thanks again; I just subscribed!
I've got five of this series of pedals, including this one, that I bought several years ago.....all are good pedals.....my only real complaint is I wish the knobs were on top so you could more easily set (or see the settings) the pedals... That has ended up being a bit of a pain....but other than that they're built well, and have given me no issues. (Only other real complaint is the vibe pedal...sounds really good, but has a boost when engaged that can't (to my knowledge) be dialed out, and it takes nearly 2 seconds from the time the pedal is engaged for the effect to become audible..... In a studio recording atmosphere, neither are really serious issues....but if you're jamming or gigging, that boost is quite noticeable and can get dirty looks from even the drummer ;-) )
This is my absolute favorite tremolo pedal, and I've owned/tried a lot. Just hate the way they put the knobs on top like that. Just a ridiculous design. The sound is there though. Every time I try to switch to something else I always come back to the Cool Cat Trem. Someday I may try to rehouse it but I don't want to risk breaking the thing!
Very good pedal for the money, I got mine brand new for almost $25.00 (P1,000.00 in our money). WOrks great. Though I am experiencing some problems now. the switch gives a very loud thump when turned on and when I turned on sometimes, it just gets a very very weak sound or no sound comes out at all. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Although I love Fender products, it does seem that they are responsible for the tremolo vs. vibrato confusion. Think of it this way - A vibrato arm is what's on your guitar (think Gibson Vibrola or Bigsby - no one ever called a Bigsby a tremolo). Tremelo is the effect on that old Fender amp you used to have. It's that simple...
This pedal is a great sounding trem. I liked it better than some more expensive boutique tremolo pedals. It's dirt cheap, true bypass, no volume drop and has two switchable types of waveforms (sine and square-wave). What more could you possibly need?
Got me sold on these. I currently have a tight budget and managed to get one preowned for £19.
great video - playing and sound
Wiggle stick....brilliant! Great review, man. just bought one of these today. Cheers!
This is a really excellent lesson/demonstration for how to use the versatility of a tremolo pedal! Great playing too :)
That was excellent. Thanks!

Tremolo changes the volume, vibrato changes the pitch. It's that simple.
I'm getting this pedal soon!
jj power!
I have a psychedelic music channel. just look up "raga with a groove"
Should have played Riders on the Storm from. the dOOrs
So the Cool Cat really can do "How Soon Is Now." You answered my question. :-)

My only gripe is there’s a LOT of volume drop when it’s on.
@@roberthdahlquist Just adjust the internal trim pot to bring the volume up.
no note cards? :(
