Wing's said earlier in the stream his biggest fear going into this match was that he'd hear about it for years if he lost. The funny thing is, if he reacted like a normal person and didn't have a meltdown, literally no one would've given a shit about this match a week later. But his reaction solidified it in peoples minds. And here we are, over 10 years later, still talking about it.

This didnt really earn him much other than respect from more hardcore CoD fans who already were into the community and likely already subbed. Why does losing a 1v1 end someone's career
it was one of the biggest bets ever, if you think about, sooo much was on the line, Wings could be at Syndicates level right now but he's not.
It ruined his career because Wings was considered one of the best COD players ever, and bragged about it all the time, then Syndicate was a zombies player, which pretty much meant he couldn't beat anyone. So when Syndicate won, it showed that Wings wasn't as good as he said he was, and he flipped out when he lost.
