So basically merit is karma. Why not just call it karma then and remove the confusion?
I think Merit is Karma but not all Karma is merit… in fact every action is Karma
If explain based on real life working, merit is like our savings, and karma is our efforts. No work, no money. Some people also work legally and not legally. Karma also works the same way (good and bad can be happened at the same time).
