- Join me as I investigate the Clayton Tunnel in West Sussex, site of the infamous rail crash disaster of 1861. The tunnel has claimed several lives in the years following, and many spirits are said to haunt the site and the surrounding areas to this day.

Credit to Chimneycowelproducts.co.uk for the second image of the tunnel, and the image of the modern train entering the tunnel.

Would be brilliant to see the tower up close please keep us updated as to when you next visit
I used to li e in Lewes, and have been up near were you were. It was late at night and me and a friend were 90%sure we heard screams coming from the tunnel very creepy. Look forward to part 2. I've subscribed. 🖤👻🖤👻🖤
Oh wow, that's incredible!! I'm very excited to go back and into the tunnels via the tower. Very lucky to have bumped into the owner of the cottage when I did 😀
@@ClarkesHorrors yes I'm looking forward to that one.
Queen Elizabeth used to have the most haunted tunnel but she's been gone for nearly 18 months guess its time for a new one.
I'm not sure I'd want to investigate that one 😂
@@ClarkesHorrors don't worry neither did Prince Phillip. Cheers.
Loved this and am looking forward to part 2 xx
There was another disaster in the 1960s when a group of scouts entered the tunnel.
Good video can’t wait for the next one
Glad I found your channel
Thanks for tuning in!
So awesome!
When you are standing outside the tunnel on the bridge opposite (at 9mins 20 secs) what are those voices/sounds going into your mic? Creepy
Most likely cars going past as it's on a busy main road, unfortunately. Very much looking forward to getting into the tunnels in the tower though!
Very interesting documentary. Thank you. My only criticism is why was it peppered with American steam locomotive. Surely there is plenty of british locomotives film?
Appreciate the feedback! I used Adobe stock, and a couple of free stock websites to get the footage, they were the best ones I could find. Clearly, I do not know too much about steam trains but I'll rectify that in part 2 :)
Thank you for your reply, I do like your style of movie making and hope i did not offend you with my feedback.

@@philipsmith3697 Not at all. Thank you so much for watching!
I am looking forward to part 2
because in the United States, all of the videos that have anything to do with railroads have British trains in them, so this is just our way of "getting even". 😳
Enjoyed this
Thank you 😊
There are even ghosts in space, they say Uranus is haunted.
They aren't wrong.
I would love to live in the tunnel cottage, that`s really getting away from things.
Looks akin to Clay X tunnel.
Good video, you need to ease off on the back round noise.
Thank you! And for the sub. I'm learning as I go haha.
I've been in the pub cellar many times
I should be down there with a camera in the next month or so! Did you work there?
