- When Everquest release in 1999 it came with a guide book that included lore of how the world of Norrath came to be and how the deities interacted with each other, seeding their children on Norrath but also setting up what would become long held hatred and distrust.

Love it and subscribed. All of us Everquest alumni are united in suffering. If you've never bought it, pick up Everquest Atlas: The Maps of Myrist. It will be used but it is the greatest EQ gift out there.
I snagged a copy just about a month ago with plans to turn it into videos! I think I had one when I was younger but long since lost it. Was glad to find someone selling a used copy.

EQ lore videos are fire. Alot of great quests and the related lore are purely in game. Epics , expansion quest lines etc. So great potential video content but sadly not a large audience.

Hey man- I just found ur channel. I’m a similarly timed eq player, tho I haven’t been back since maybe 2016- do u still play? I’ve thought about coming back but I don’t know how to even begin if so hahaha! Just wanted to say I enjoy taking a trip down memory lane
Thank you so much and welcome! I probably played the most extensively about the time you stopped. From 2016-2020 I was a heavy raider on the Phinigel progression server. A lot has changed since then with each new progression server as well as several expansions for the live game (a new one each year). The game is still good but has it's downsides, like population gaps.
@@Redbeardflynn oh - awesome! Yeah i stopped I think after the empires of kunark, or whatever the first of those two remastered ones were. I remember killin the queen di zok, but then stopped after that difficult raid lol. I kinda regret not seeing the remastered velious and luclin ones- the thought of trying to pick it back up seems pretty daunting tho- I just saw your video about potential eq3, so I think for now I’ll place my hopes on that! Glad to discover ur channel tho, your experiences and stories sound very similar to how I look back at my time in norrath- it is the best ever imo hands down! Look forward to followin the channel and let’s pray for that eq3 thing to be true 🤣 🫡
Have a question about EQ. I use to play a mage back in the day and liked it a lot I think I quit after PoP expansion was out. If I don't mind 2-3 boxing what server/type etc should I join? I started playing again a few months back but I guess I picked a server that did not have many low level players and it got boring.
Can you find all this lore in game? Like in letters and stuff throughout the the world?
Yes and no. These videos are a direct reading from the guidebook that came with the original EQ box. Lore exists in game in a variety of ways - quests, raids, even for a while in-game mail that SOE sent out during an event. It's all pretty scattered.
