  • Tropical Pacific Environments (SC-117) took its second field trip of the spring semester to the National Aquaculture Center at the Lelu Marina. This facility breeds and does research on six species of giant clams for repopulating reefs and for distribution to aquariums around the world. Our tour was led by Martin Selch. This was a unique opportunity for the students to have hands-on experience with an endangered marine animal. In addition to the 13 COM students and their teacher Dr. Nick Zoa, we were joined by Dr. Liz Van Volkenburgh from the University of Washington.

That's awesome, you doing a great job💯. I will be coming to Micronesia around October. I will like to under-study you, it's takes alot of sacrifice from you to stay back there leaving your comfort zone with a hope to leave a legacy behind when your time on earth is over.
