- XP Farms in Minecraft are very important, and maybe even more so in this modpack of Minecraft, considering how quickly Vein Miner digs through blocks. Today iskall builds the best XP Enderman Farm there is! Well, at least he thinks so!
Vault Hunters is a modpack currently in Open Beta. It is unique in that it focuses on action rpg style gameplay as well as all the classic Minecraft elements, with over 2.1 billion different chestplates, swords, idols and more, the pack features a never-before-seen depth!

Wow, this series really is great! I was pretty sad when iskall stopped making hermitcraft but now when I hear his voice when he plays VH I am sure he is so happy with it and it makes me so happy every episode.

This is a really fun series. I tried the pack myself and the vaults kicked my butt too much (and also, I just can't do modded with all the extra blocks, but without storage options), but it's fun watching you do it.
You gotta do research to get storage, and yes it’s pretty annoying
Gotta at least have iron chests to start out in modded. Storage is already shit in vanilla, let alone with more blocks
@@nathanlees2135 Well, of course. But long before any reasonable storage option would be available, I'd need to run a few hundred vaults and then somehow store all the stuff from them. I actually tried, after having 20 chests of barely sorted junk I gave up, especially since the pack actively encourages you to keep everything (for example I threw away all rotten flesh in the beginning as I normally do until the altar wanted a pile of rotten flesh).
Chest monsters just give me anxiety and more than once I just quit instead of opening another dozen chests to find some blocks I know I have. And it would feel like a total waste to build a proper vanilla storage just to replace it a week or two later with refined storage.

@@Borkon I don't know if you watched Iskalls Twitch, but on there he ran his storage on the Pretty Pipes mod for a long time. It's only 1 knowledge point and provided great utility for storing and searching items in early to mid game.
I don't play mayself, so take this with a grain of salt.
Love this series. Couldn't get into it on twitch, just cause streaming isn't quite my speed. But seeing the pack all here pared down has been so fun. It's a full fledged endgame for minecraft, one that the game was sorely lacking
Just now seeing this and i too really couldn’t get into it on twitch but i disagree, minecraft isn’t lacking and endgame because that puts a time frame on the game. It’s a timeless game that you’re supposed to continue forever and keep creating, you don’t play minecraft to beat it
Yeah, I couldn't get into the streams either. I wanted to watch Sparklez's series but it made no sense, and I can't watch Iskall's streams because time zones.
@@AstralArbourSys this is really late, but once I was so excited for an omega day, I may or may not have woken up at 1 a.m so that I could be there LOL.... It was not smart....
Some friendly tips for anyone doing vaults (been playing the modpack for a bit and haven't seen iskall use these):
1) You can place temporary waypoints in the vault to stop yourself from getting lost
2) Ender arrows are awesome you can make 4 of them with a single enderpearl and you don't take damage while using them (also i find it much easier to aim a bow then an enderpearl.
3)Immersive engineering storage crates act as a sort of stackable (they stack as long as nothing is in them, you can also put them in shulkerboxes if you want) early-game shulker box and can be found in the immersive engineering village buildings.

The only reason Iskall doesn't use waypoints in vaults is because he considers it cheating. He actually instructed the members of Vault Hunters SMP (the streaming server) to not use them.
Ender arrows are great. I haven't used them myself, but I've seen Petezuhut use them in his vault runs on the SMP. They really do help you get around faster and easier.
I also figured out about the immersive engineering crates while running around the world. I don't know if they spawn in the vanilla generated world that Iskall had specially generated for this series, but I know they spawn in villages in my completely modded world. I don't use them in vaults though due to them being wood and needed to be broken with an axe to break them faster. Shulker boxes and boss/arena crates are the way to go so that I only need to use my pickaxe.

@@ScorpiEmmi Oh, I haven't watched the SMP so I didn't know about the waypoints being considered cheating(don't really know why, to me it seems like more of a hassle rather than added difficulty but I guess that's up to personal preference).
I find the drawback of having to bring an axe however totally worth it because you can bring 1 shulker and like 10 crates and when you fill a crate you can just stuff them in the shulker, 10 shulkerboxes take up way more space than 10 crates and the axe.
@@birdman4679 I would not spend my time in the vault looking for a couple of specific rooms, however if you feel that certain rooms just don't have enough loot then don't hesitate to skip them, if i where to name some notable rooms(that haven't been mentioned in the series yet) then it would be the puzzle room(looks like a big rubiks cube) and the factory room as both spawn 25 gilded chest upon completing the puzzle in the middle
1) the puzzle room has a pattern of puzzle blocks in the middle underneath some vault glass just look for the puzzle blocks in the room and copy the pattern on top of the glass
2) in the factory you have a shaft in the middle that leads down, at the bottom their are 5 buttons one to start and four with their respective lamps above them, when pressing the button to start you just have to repeat the pattern shown on the lamps with the button.
I have to say that I havent had a single player let’splay where I am excited for every episode sice I was like 12, it fills me with so much joy to finally enjoy a letsplay in this way again, thank you for that

This series is amazing! I never really understood VH while it was streamed on Twitch, but after watching this I'm definitely going to tune into some streams in the future, it's an incredible mod :D

While it was hilarious for him to spell out the vote results then ignore them, I wouldn’t call it a loss. Since taking decoration research lowers the cost of other research by one we aren’t really losing anything. It is still contributing to the chosen research, at least as long as he doesn’t pick something other than decorations.
I love it when he does the bit of just a moment.... then there's a fast timelapse as he builds or does something. Instead of just cutting to it. As in at the 00:37 point, it always makes me laugh
I can't get enough of this series! I love seeing standard progression without twitch integration. Makes the modpack feel a lot more organic and potentially challenging, giving a good idea of a normal experience
I dont usually like big or complex modpacks and they scare me sometimes, but iskall breaks this modpack down so well, Ive enjoyed watching the series so much, i look forward to the rest of the series.
When you'll get more knowledge stars spend it on the decoration no matter what you want (as long as it is above 1 knowledge point cost) because if for example you want the create mod, that cost 5 points now, if you keep the knowledge point, then you will need 4 more to get the create mod, and if you spend it on the decoration, it will cost 4, so you'll still need 4 more knowledge points, so the decoration mod is actually free
yes, but you waste the cheapening due to the fact that it SHOULD cost 0 then, but instead costs 1, its more efficient to do decor, something else, decor, something else...

I didnt expect this, but getting that decorations mod first is actually a really good idea! Create usually costs 6, but instead you could pay one to lower its cost, still netting in 6 research points but with a couple other mods along side it.
The reference to Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy with 42 made me smile way too much

Taking the elvish skill would be great concidering the mega jump, when you're running vaults you won't have you're elytra and with that skill no fall damage eh?

Been playing this pack myself, and I’m noticing a suspicious lack of diorite underground. Would YOU happen to know anything about that?
diorite granit and andesite exist in specific biome with extremly large quantity. forests have andersite hills contain granit i am not so sure about diorit
Hey I had the same problem! What I do when I get those blocks in my "vaulter" is actually craft them. Something interesting about the mods in this pack is that you can craft a lot of vanilla blocks. Hope this helps

The one wide bridge in the end is giving me flashbacks to 5up's and Tubbo's early base on the SMP. For the uninitiated: They did a base in the end. With an enderman farm in the middle and regular outbreaks when a block wasn't slabbed or spawnproofed. With the constant looming danger of items or yourself falling into the void. And yes, the entrance was over a very long one block wide, not secured bridge where they would regularly run and dash over WITHOUT elytra on. Very heart attack inducing. So thanks for reminding me of that!
I'm enjoying the series so far! i've been also playing vault hunter thanks to it, and i'm currently on level 19, and running through vaults to loots the chests is really super fun!
Okay, I just have to say that, aside from all the obvious and numerous aspects of this mod that are SO COOL, I have to commend the actual design of the vault rooms.
They're BEAUTIFUL. I want to play vault hunters so badly, but I know I'd die in so many vaults because I'd be overcome with the need to just stop and take in all the details of each room! The endless new blocks, first of all, just blows me away. Every room has DOZENS of new blocks, even just purely decorative. The amount of WORK that went in to completely designing probably HUNDREDS of new blocks JUST TO DECORATE THE VAULTS is something that needs to be praised! Even the TREES are all carefully made. Every inch of those vaults are BEAUTIFUL. Each simple pathway looks deliberately designed, and from what I can tell, the vaults have been made to RANDOMLY GENERATE these rooms in different layouts and orders! The transitions from room to hallway/pathway to room are all so smooth, and even the different designs for the same room types are all absolutely stunning.
The mod is already mind blowing. But everyone who worked on it decided to go the extra step and put SO MUCH time and care into making the vaults themselves STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL. No matter how many vaults you run through, I still stare in shock every single time, because they're simply GORGEOUS.
The rest of the mod gets endless praise (as it very well deserves!), but the actual design and beauty in this mod is just as stunning, and just as difficult to make. Well done on this mod. It's truly awesome!

I really love this series.A tip is that if you for example want to buy elvish for five skill points you can buy some furniture to make it cheaper. Let's say that you buy elvish, now you have no skill points left. But now let's say you buy furniture for for of your skill points and then buy elvish for one skill points, if you do that you will have a lower price on everything else and also you get a sofa or sametinget else

Your Iskalium store really stood out and was very cool to be the first on the island, and honeslty you were one of the first people to get me interested in watching all of this. I have downloaded vault hunters and am thoroughly addicted, I may however have to start over as I have progressed too fast and did not know how to best take advantage of the vaults! Really enjoying the series as I went into the game mostly blind and get to learn while watching!

One of the mods that is in the pack, Quark, lets you place blocks bridging out and underneath. Thats what the square brackets and angle brackets respectively mean around the cursor. Saves the anxiety from placing the blocks at the bottom of void or bridging out over nothingness
Man I wish this series was uploaded more often, I completely understand that daily uploads of this series would be actual hell, but damn would it be so cool.
This series, I am beyond surprised to say, is more exciting than Hermitcraft was so far. i really hope it will continue as long as possible because it lights my day seeing the notification and hearing "Hallo!".

This series is so good i watched em anticipating the next episode every time, its so good
In the waystones mod, there are warp plates. If these are in the modpack, these can make enderman farms even more op as they can teleport mobs, so you can surround an endermite with warp plates on a spawn platform perfectly at y level=0, all leading to the same warp plate the required amount of blocks high for an enderman to be one shot and they can then fall off down a to your killing chamber where you can get maximum enderman spawns and the enderman would be on one shot

I started playing this modpack recently. First crystal required a trident and inside the vault I died to an explosive trapped chest. I am a bit sad but I am enjoying the pack a lot beside my unfortunate luck.
P.S. the second crystal required a dragon head xD
