I highly doubt you'd get let off with only ten years after confessing to the murder of 7 and 46 shot even with a reduced sentence. Maybe I'm wrong, but that struck me as very weird right from the start. He also lied under oath a lot, so even though he testified against Gotti, he was benched for it since all his old stories were contradicted. (Also then again admitting to killing 7 is a lot different then the government actually pinning 7 murders on you, it's possible they just didn't have the evidence to back up his claims which seems very likely.)
