Thanks for your fair, thoughtful, and nuanced review of the SIVGA Oriole headphones, Dave! Best wishes from Canada and take care! 🎧🎶
Thank you for the kind words.
Great, your explanations allows us to identify clearly the good points between both headphones. Once my budget gets back to normal after the 11.11, I’m expecting to buy one of the Sigvas. Thanks for your work, Dave.
Glad you find the video helpful. Thank you for the kind words. Look forward to hearing your impressions of the Sivga of your choosing.
I am going to save up for some Meze Classics,my Christmas gift to me. THOSE SIVGA'S look like you could mod the headphone by covering one or more vents with tape.I just love the way the Sivga Robin looks. The Oriole is on my list too. Thanks Dave.
Awesome 👍😎 Looking forward to hearing your impressions of the Meze.
The look of them is good and they seem very well built for the price.
Exactly 💯
Nice review -- I do wish you'd discuss the quality/functionality of the accompanying cords though, but again, nice review, thanks + subscribed
Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing 💯
Been trying to find a good headpohone with 200$ budget for my friend, after watching your review, I'd prefer this instead of Denon AHGC25NC. I'm probably going to buy one for myself as well. Thank you for the honest review~
Glad you found the review helpful! My pleasure, you're welcome.
I do have a question though, in case the ear pads start to peel in few years, where do you buy new ear pads for sivga oriole?
Sivga Oriole vs Focal Listen Pro? Anyone tried both.
Ya bass dip looks like it’d be a problem for me too
Objectively speaking, which is better, the oriole or the ath msr7b? They are in a similar price range and both are closed back. I'd like to know your opinion, thanks.
Sorry I've not heard the MSR7B.
Would you recommend this over Meze 99 Neo/Classic?
That is a good question. Very similar sounding. Meze has a slight advantage with note weight, tone and timbre, little more immersive stage. The Sivga keeps up in most areas but has a leaner sound, not as bassy, has a little smaller stage and isn't as natural in tone and timbre. Overall, the Meze is a slight upgrade sonically.
@@TheHonestAudiophile As an owner of Meze 99 Classic, it's nice to hear that, Thanks.
My pleasure, you're welcome.
@@TheHonestAudiophile That does it for me the Meze Neo seems like my type of sound ,warm and bassy. I wanted the Sivga Robin but you warned about the rolled sub bass.
I haven't heard the Neo just the Classic. Curious if there's a difference.
How does this one compare to the Rode NTH 100? Ty very much for the review!
Comparison made at the 15:04 mark.
@@TheHonestAudiophile wow thanks! You even sent the specific time when you talked about it. I swear I watched the whole video, I simply didn't hear it? I feel dumb now hahahaha... Thank you for taking the time, Dave, I found your channel recently and I appreciate it and the effort you put into making the content and answering most of our questions!
I was originally interested in the he400se, but powering those is harder... even if my use will be mainly at home, sound isolation gives me more flexibility if I for whatever reason decide to take em with me outside... The Rode flew over my radar just recently through your videos, as did the oriole, actually. I am more inclined to getting the Rode, I think the sound quality it offers is what I'm currently looking for, but that wood on the sigma... damn, I like wood hahahaha
Thank you for the kind words. I am glad you enjoy the channel content and find it useful.
I look forward to hearing your impressions of the Rode NTH-100.
Dave, between S12 vs Tangzu iem which will be ur pick and y??
Here is a link to my Tangzu review, at the 15:34 mark comparison to the S12 is made.
@@TheHonestAudiophile ohh nice😉
Hello, which would you recommend more, Dan Clark Flow open, or Hifiman edt. XS...?? I think that Dan Clark has a little better outdoor insulation, but I don't know if there is much difference in sound...?
I haven't heard the Hifiman Edition XS. Dan Clark Flow Open is a solid option.
