It made it onto the DVD-A version of Rumours. Anyone with a DVD player should run and buy this version. This surround version of this album is excellent and was also re-mixed for that format.

It's great to see how much Lex loves Fleetwood Mac. When they first started in the 60's they were a British blues rock band and were known as Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, as Green was the most famous member. They were hugely popular in Europe, it's said that in 1969 they sold more singles than the Beatles and Rolling Stones put together. Give them a try sometime., songs like Man of the World, Oh Well, Need Your Love So Bad, Albatross, Black Magic Woman are timeless brilliance.
Yep. It was Peter Green that named the group after the drummer and bass player. Rattlesnake Shake is a real rocker. Green is regarded as one of the greatest rock guitarists ever. He was sidetracked by drugs and mental health issues. He died just a few years ago.
You can tell she is singing from her soul when she sings to Lindsey. So many great songs from Stevie come from those dark places, Brad hit the nail on the head when he mentioned the substance abuse that comes from living your life in the camera eye as Neil Peart of RUSH explained.
@@lizetteolsen3218 Her solo career was more successful than his, but yes - he was more obsessed with proving he could be a success away from FM. TBH, don’t most people think he would’ve ended up quitting FM within a couple of years of joining if Stevie hadn’t joined with him? He wasn’t really sure about joining in the first place if I recall right.
@@saraheart2804 Her trying to quit the band because she simply didn’t want to deal with his personality anymore and the band choosing her over him was her firing him?
@@lizetteolsen3218 😂 No she did not. That's just Stevie's usual martyr spin. She showed up for one month of the six to record Mirage because she was working on her solo stuff. She showed up TWO weeks on the 18 months of making Tango In The Night to do her own tour, go to rehab (just 28 days though) then follow Tom Petty & Bob Dylan around like a groupie instead of writing songs and recording with her band. Then complained she wasn't on the album enough and threatened to go to Rolling Stone about it. So Lindsey added her into Little Lies. Meanwhile Lindsey was pressured into turning his 3rd solo album into TITN and then spent a year and half producing, arranging, recording, playing etc for a bunch of non functioning and mostly absent bandmates - except Chris. He'd been the main producer for all their albums even though they didn't deign to give him solo Producing credit until Mirage. He produced The Dance for them after they held an intervention and begged him to come back. Then once again with Say You Will, Mick and WB had him roll another solo album into an FM project. Meanwhile Stevie refused to record an album with Fleetwood Mac for the next 15 years even after Lindsey said they could get another producer and even after Chris came back. That record with Chris is what really pissed Stevie off - even though they stupidly didn't call it a FM album to placate her. She didn't like looking bad for not contributing and she didn't like the band making and releasing an album without her. And she really didn't like it was called Buckingham/McVie. In 2012 when FM was to tour she unilaterally announced no FM wasn't going to tour that year but instead she was taking another year for her album tour and if they didn't like it too bad. Mick had an interview in Rolling Stone where he called it the death of the band while Lindsey of all people defended her and said she should take the time she needed. But then in 2018 after ousting Lindsey she laughably lied on National TV that Lindsey refused to tour for a year and that no one member could hold up the band. He had the nerve to ask for 2 months delay after WB changed the released date for his solo album. (after his ouster they wound up delaying 2-3 months) When they refused he capitulated but asked if he could solo tour in between band dates since Stevie demanded 3 days between shows. But that request never even made it to Stevie before she issued her him or me ultimatum when she knew greedy Mick would never give up the bigger tour money she would bring. All he needed to do was pressure John - and majority rules. Chris was told after the deal was done. John later said it was a mistake and now Mick is back to kissing Lindsey's ass because he's the only one still creating and making music.
Lex, go back to the songs "Go your own way" and "The Chain". Listen closely to the words of each and you'll understand better. Lindsay and Stevie were a struggling musical couple when Fleetwood Mac reformed in the 70s. Lindsey auditioned for and was accepted by the band but would not join them without Stevie. That's how they got there. Shortly after Lindsey and Stevie broke up, but both stayed with the band fighting through their lyrics throughout the years. Silver Springs is just another in the line.
AND Stevie started seeing the drummer Mick Fleetwood at the same time. With that much tension in the air, it’s a miracle they could even bear to still play as a band, let alone to produce a masterpiece like “Rumors”
There's a live version of "The Chain" somewhere out there that really shows the two of them playing off of each other like they mean it. I wish I'd known about that when I saw them live.
@@RetNemmoc555 Yeah, there's a video of The Chain from the Mirage tour, 1982, the LA show. The two of them are singing straight at each other like they're gonna kill each other.
Brad & Lex, you’ll love their "You Make Loving Fun"!!! Lex, you nailed it!!! Stevie was singing right to Lindsey at the end, because its about him. Now that was intense!! Lindsey wasn’t happy when the drummer (Mick Fleetwood) said he was dating Stevie back in the day!
This band had so many messed up stories. One of the guitarists in the band before Lindsay, Bob Weston, broke up Mick's marriage to his first wife, Jenny Boyd, and Mick threw him out of the band. Then Lindsay joins the band with Stevie, and within a few years it's Mick stealing his woman...
@@bobbyn.9773 the other original guitarist Jeremy Spencer ducked out of rehearsal one day to pick up a magazine from the newsstand, joined a cult, and was basically never heard from again.
Stevie and Lindsey actually got into a huge fight over this song in 1977 when they recorded it for the album "Rumours". Lindsey and Mick decided it was too long for the Lp and couldn't be used (they later stuck it on the B-side of the "Go Your Own Way" single) and Stevie was furious.
@@rossrubino9080the reason it wasn’t had nothing to with personal issues. It was merely a case of the song not being able to fit on the album because of the length of it. There was no digital recording in the mid 70s
@@kurtsaxton823 true. No band has a more varied catalogue... From the British Blues of the Peter Green years to the psychedelic rock of Danny Kirwan to the jazzy Bob Welch stuff to the pop perfection of the Lindsay/Stevie years. Every album is a new adventure unlike the last one.
It's amazing today as when it was when it was released. I remember running out and buying the eight track and playing it over and over in my hippie van.
@@jasonremy1627 well said, although Stevie and Lindsay put a mainstream Peter Green ,Bob Welch and Christine McVie were just as influential if not more. Judas priest, Carlos Santana made hits out of their already hits.
This song wasn't even included on the album when released. Was only a B side to a single. However when the album was remastered it was added back to the album on most digital releases.
This concert is the best live set they have done. They had mostly moved on from turmoil and resentment and were focused just on the music. Although Stevie was still a bit envious about Lindsay's happiness, now that he was married and was a father by that time. Throughout this entire performance she is shooting him daggers, but stares her right down not even flinching. As if too say, I've moved on and I am in better place now.
@@toddmathers5075I noticed that too. Lindsay seems far more bitter in interviews on the topic of Stevie. But I really couldn’t say what’s going on here. Maybe it’s just two musicians who have worked together for years bringing out the emotions for the sake of the performance.
This is one of my favorite live performances. I always tear up by the end, when Stevie is looking directly at Lindsey and clearly she is feeling every word. Her cheeks get flush and the last lines are wrought with emotion.
My very favorite Fleetwood Mac song! I just love the melody. Their best imho of many great songs. Plus, this live version is so much better than the recorded album version. So much passion!
I still can't believe they decided to leave it off the Rumours album, Stevie said it broke her heart when they told her that there wasn't enough room for it on the album.
One of their very best, deep cuts. Why this was never a single remains a mystery. The build into/and the chorus are the hook that grabs you. Top shelf.
Because it didn't make it onto "Rumours." There wasn't enough room due to vinyl albums having a limited amount of space, and unfortunately, this song was the one that was dropped from the album. The live version was released as a single when "The Dance" was released in 1997, however.
@@gloriagaddy That’s right Gloria, I had forgotten that. Saw them tour this album in college a million yrs ago, and they did play it during their performances. There is a live audio from the LSU Assembly Center, on YT where I saw them that night. The official live version you mentioned IS THE best version imho. Lastly, maybe you know this as well. I think it’s was added to a reissue of “Rumors.” Any idea? Regards 🤘
Whatta' performance! If you want intense Stevie/Lindsey, try "Say Goodbye" from their Say You Will Album. There's a great live performance on the youtube.
And you have to keep in mind most of the breakup songs that Stevie Nicks is singing, she is singing about the guitar player who's standing on stage with her. By the point of this performance they had been broken up for probably 20 years or so.
Outta every Fleetwood Mac song that I grew up listening to, this one always gets me RIGHT IN MY SOUL 😔.. WHAT A VERY UNUSUAL SONG, YOU GET LOST IN STEVIE'S VOICE 🎶🎶🎶😎😎😎🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
I remember this 1997 performance. Christine, Lindsay and Stevie harmonize so well. Those intense looks between Stevie & Lindsay were such a mix of emotions.
Song gives me goosebumps its so deep, personal, but still something that anyone that's been in a tough relationship can relate to. The way it builds - amazing. It pulls those tough emotions out of you.
Yeah Guys, You see them on the Cover as Young Lovers, and this Concert is Decades Later, and there's Lindsay still right next to Her, still playing Killer Guitar Riffs, and Stevie's Voice.....
Right? I don't get it. I love the emotion in the song. The sadness and hurt: *"Time casts a spell on you, but you won't forget me! I know I could've loved you, but you wouldn't let me!"* and then the anger and hurt!: *"I'll follow you down til the sound of my voice will haunt you! You'll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you!"* Holy shit! I felt as though she was *screaming* at me, and possibly every man who has pissed her off!
This was almost 20 years after recording the album. So no, she doesn't have to imagine how it feels. Her and Lindsey try to keep it professional, but she still feels the way the words did sting then. So does he.
Well, if you like them you should really check out songs from their album PRIOR to them joining Fleetwood Mac. It's called "Buckingham Nicks" which was their very first album back in 1973. I have the vinyl album from back then and it's very good. Check it out!
Wonderful album and you see everything they brought to FM that made them for a time the biggest band in the world - and why their music has sustained so long after. Also, so many songs they wrote for their second B&N album wound up on FM albums - Landslide, Rhiannon, Monday Morning, So Afraid, I Don't Want To Know, That's Alright as well as Crystal and Don't Let Me Down Again from their first album on Fleetwood Mac and Live.
Every time I hear Buckingham Nicks, I think to myself "who really joined who?". The Mac had the name and the contract but Buckingham Nicks brought the sound.
She wrote that song years ago about Lindsey Buckingham (the guitarist) Their passion is still intense in this performance. DAMN !! This is one of the most amazing songs ever written…. The performance just puts it in an entirely different realm.
This video is from The Dance. The Dance was a 2 day reunion concert in 1997 that reignited the love story between Stevie & Lindsey…..until Lindsey’s ex gf showed up saying she was pregnant. Anyway the entire concert is on RUclips & I recommend it.
My God, Stevie's voice finds it's way into every part of my being!! This song, along with Landslide and Sara, are my absolute favorites of hers. And Dreams. And Rhiannon. And Gold Dust Woman. 😁
I am 58 years old. Fleetwood Mac especially Stevie Nicks got me through high school! It is so nice to see the younger generation be moved by the same music I was and to have the same experiences that I did. Great video❤
If you search YT, there are performances of this song from different cities and sometimes Stevie doesn't make it through this song without breaking into tears. Others, she's standing in his face yelling "Never get away, never get away", just as fierce as she can! So beautiful, and at the same time heartbreaking. I had a love like this with a woman, once.... .
Brad - "Do you think it's still hard to sing a song like this like 20 years later?" Stevie - Look at my face during this live performance and you be the judge. Remember she is talking about Lindsey Buckingham, the guitarist in this video. If you keep your eyes on her face it is painfully obvious that she is still to this day angry about that period in their lives. She looks right at him while singing. "I'll follow you down 'til the sound of my voice will haunt you, haunt you, give me just a chance You'll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you, loves you, was I just a fool?"
Stevie gives him the death stare while singing if he told her he loved her. And he just stood there and took it because he knew it was true and it was just how their relationship went.
Silver Springs was my favorite song from the Rumours recordings. But for many years, it wasn't even included on the album. From what I've read, they just thought the song came off too negative. But it's such a fantastic song. This particular live performance is amazing as Stevie sings her pain directly to Lindsey who looks right back at her eye to eye. A fantastic song and and equally fantastic performance of the song.
The live version, without the overlay of the album cover, is my favorite Fleetwood Mac song. And then, when the concert ends with Tusk and the USC marching band, what a great show. Really wish I was there.
Stevie did confirm this song was written about her break up with Lindsey. If you haven't seen Lindsey performing "Big Love" from this same concert, you should check it out, and Tusk...the whole concert is great.
It's funny that you bring up the swampy aspect of this music. Stevie Nicks played that exact roll on American Horror Story. I think it was the Coven season, which was a really good one. Very astute observation. You must not be the only one who felt that connection. This song means a lot to me. I can feel her pain when I hear it, and we've all felt similar at times in our lives.
This is one of my faves. Let me give you the tea. There is so much history here. Stevie & Lyndsey had their own band Buckingham-Nicks. They were invited to join the band called Fleetwood Mac. Mick Fleetwood (drummer) and John & Christine McVie (married). Fueled by drugs, affairs, and success they all broke apart. Their album Rumours, arguably one if the best albums of all time, was born from that time. Lyndsey wrote songs about Stevie, visa versa. Stevie had an affair with Mick. Lyndsey left the band. Stevie left. All came back and continued to make music together, apart, back together and still 45 yrs later still still sing those dongs about each other. Christine & John are divorced. Lyndsey married a young woman a few years ago & has young twins I think. You probably live Fleetwood Mac because they have 3 songwriters that are very distinct. This is a Stevie song, it was her favorite at the tine and they left it off the Rumours album (1977). It devastated her. When they all got together for a tour and live album (I was there) they added this song to it, that’s the live performance you were viewing. It was nominated for a Grammy. It is about Lyndsey. However, it has since been added to the remastered Rumours album in 2004. Most of the songs you’ve been listening to are Stevie songs. Dont stop is a Christine song, Go your own way is about Stevie and a Lyndsey song. Big Love and Never Going back again. Lyndsey songs. Christine might have the most beloved Fleetwood Mac song, next to Landslide, called Songbird. Often they end their concerts on this one. ruclips.net/video/eLRyYETnoIE/видео.html Lyndsey's most famous song is Tusk. Live is best. I like Monday Morning. Other Stevie songs include Seven Wonders and one of my favorites but little known Fleetwood Mac songs called Storms, it is about her affair with Mick Fleetwood.
Don't forget, guys, there was another couple having big problems during Rumours. The McVies. Check out Christine McVie's beautiful version of "Songbird" from this same concert, The Dance. She never wanted to sing this song on tour because it's so emotional and she's alone at the piano. It was always the last song they played at a show, and John McVie would have tears streaming down his face standing in the wings, offstage.
I honestly have to say I stumbled on your channel, and yes I follow you now, your reactions on music is great, especially the music I grew up listening to in the 70's and 80's, and BTW you guys need to do more Alcohol sampling videos, it was good to see Brad actually loosen up and laugh, Lex, well your just a bundle of Joy and Happiness and it's refreshing and a joy to watch, you Crack me up.
Beautiful song and when she is singing she is looking at the guitarist who was her long time boyfriend and then broke up, you will notice how she looks at him like saying "you broke my heart"
@Phantom 1969 She also said that Lyndsay was very controlling and drove her away from him and she ended up having an affair with a guy that worked in a restaurant owned by a friend of hers ,and the guy she had an affair with was also named Lyndsay she told Rolling Stone magazine
@@bobbyn.9773 Meanwhile she also said when the Kristen Stewart/Director/Rob Pattinson scandal happened that KS shouldn't be judged because she [Stevie] too was once that age in a long term relationship and cheated 2 or 3 times but the man she was with then (coughLindseycough) forgave her because some times these things happen when you're young. Lindsey and his irrational dis-trustfulness. LOL
Actually , Lex you're right on. In fact, you're actually reciting the history of those two people. Not all, but the majority of the songs Stevie and Lindsey wrote were about each other and the good times and the bad they had in their relationship. That's what drove their creativity.
A great live performance of a great song. I've lost count of the number of times I've listened to this song. The chemistry between Nicks and Buckingham towards the end is amazing.
This song was intended for the Rumours album - that whole album was written and recorded during the whole Nicks/Buckingham/Fleetwood fiasco... so yes, the tension in this band was HIGH at this point.
Also, the McVies were getting divorced as well. Literally everyone in the band was involved in some kind of relationship trouble. And doing massive amounts of blow. It's really a miracle they could do anything, never mind make one of the greatest albums of all time.
This song has an interesting history. It was recorded during the Rumours sessions, but didn't make the cut on the original album. It was a sort of rarity until this live version became a massive hit during their late 90s reunion, and later releases of Rumours had it as a bonus track. This is the best version, though. It's so good.
I still can't believe they left it off the Rumours album! Stevie said it broke her heart when they told her that there wasn't enough room for it on the album. They did however included as a b-side on the "Go Your Own Way" single. That's probably why it wasn't heard much back then.
Breaks my heart every time...Live is so heartwreching it just breaks you for a minute or so..And absolutely more painful for them to sing live, I've sent it over a dozen times...
Lex, you were dead right and you read that perfectly. Watching your face through out the vid was awesome. Lol. You could see how much you loved it. And yes, the fact they're singing it back and forth is incredible. She's singing into his soul like casting a spell and his defense was the guitar solo to counter it. That's how I always saw it.
I believe singing these songs at one another, for years, was quite difficult for them to do. If you want to see Fleetwood Mac do a song featuring Christine, I suggest "Say You Love Me" from The Dance Concert. Lindsey plays a banjo. It's awesome, and different.
I LOVE this so much yes it’s about Lindsey I get chills when she looks into his soul and let’s him know he can never forget her. Ever… and he knows it…
I just posted some video from this concert and so many others, they rekindled some kind of relationship in '97 , years after their break up. The videos show real affection and love still exists between them ❤️😭
Brad and Lex- y’all just gotta watch their concert called THE DANCE- this performance is from it- Lex,just don’t bounce slap off the couch-😆 You’ll BOTH love it..BRAD! 😁. It was a reunion concert that almost didn’t happen..but.. they made it through the emotions, etc.running high. And did so epically! You asked if it would be hard to sing it year after year- and yes, there’s a LOT of history within the band mates.. amongst each other- the raw, real emotion came out during that concert and is palpable- So yes, in a lot of the songs, there is a story of theirs behind it- The did The Dance reunion/concert much later in life/career- BUT, looked and sounded better than ever, even their epic younger days- Plz do yourselves a favor and watch the concert- look up on the backstory of it as well- (I know you like watching these types things on bands, etc..) Well this band is definitely a MUST- Oh I just love FM! Stevie is just mesmerizing! ❤️✨
Not JUST cheated upon by a lover, but that 'lover' is the guy standing next to her, playing guitar (Lindsey Buckingham) and it happened around 20 years prior to this particular live performance
Yep Stevie really wanted this song on the rumors album but Mick and the producers told her there was not enough room for it, but they did put it on the b side of the "Go Your Own Way" single.
Cheated?! Uh, ive never heard that Lindsey ever cheated on Stevie. Ive never read any of their biographies, true. But ive followed them for almost 25 years and never mentioned Lindsey cheating lol.
@@yaze3316 I heard that he was messing around with randoms when he was on tour with the Everly Brothers. But that's just hearsay I've never heard that in an interview or anything.
Brad and Lex- if you want a less intense (lol) and more fun Fleetwood experience, look up the Angel live performance. You get to see the Nicks/Buckingham chemistry, Stevie dancing and the band in top form.
The song that should’ve been on Rumours. But this is the definitive performance of this song. Stevie saw a highway sign for Silver Springs Maryland while the band was on tour and was taken with the poetry of the name, and it sparked this great rumination on what her relationship with Lindsey could’ve been and was never going to be. It was her letting go of that, even though it could be argued neither of them completely let go of it. And I agree with Lex’s insightful swamp/hippy theory.
I think they were all splitting up with each other while making the Rumours album.Stevie and Lindsey, John Mcvie and Christine Mcvie and Mick Fleetwood also with his other half. Fun times🙂
You need to see a documentary on how they recorded Rumours / a history of the band. There's definitely tension all right, just not in the way you think. Frankly it's a miracle they lasted as long as they did and haven't killed each other. Just when you think it's over it flairs up again. Stevie got Lindsey kicked off the latest tour, so that ended up in court. They had quite a history of guitarists going crazy long before Rumours though. Fascinating band.
One of my favorite songs from FM…Brad & Lex you nailed all of the nuances of this song and many FM songs…all the BTS drama of FM is part of what has made the songs stand the test of time…
Yes, that is the dynamic of a lot of their songs, being about each other...Christine (keyboards) and John McVie (bass) were married too, they got divorced at about the same time as Rumours was being made, Mick (drummer) got divorced too, OMG the music is so much drama and, we love it to this day!!! If you want to see Lindsey play acoustic, do Big Love, from this concert!
Yep, this was a song Stevie wrote back in the day about their breakup. Worse yet, it was not included on the album which made her so mad! She knew it was a hit--and surprise, many years later, she was proved right. They have a very complicated relationship. They have known each other since they were in HS--age 16. They were together for 14 years as a couple. Then, were professional colleagues for decades. She has always considered him her musical soul mate. There is a song called ' Say Goodbye' that is Lindsey bringing closure to his relationship with her. One live version has her in tears on stage. Another has them singing together, and him embracing and assuring her at the end. They both are in the twilight of life. He is really struggling with a heart condition that forced him to XL one of his solo tours. Still not sure if Stevie is still mad at him about the Fleetwood Mac debacle when he was kicked out (then had a private settlement some months later). Only so many days to make amends . . .

Imagine singing it, live, with the guy who it’s about playing guitar right next to you. Look at the way she looks at him while she’s singing. Chillllllllsssss
It's kind of a song that as if she wants him to come back and be with her again but at the same time, she wants to have her cake and eat it too with other people! I love me some Fleetwood Mac/Steve Nicks, but Lindsey was dealing with a black widow of the spider world! But he loved her so much to the point of making himself look weak in her eyes! Heartless! Lol
Spot on regarding relationships. In their case, if you are ever doubtful about a meaning, default to Lindsey and Stevie's relationship as a good starting place. Cathartic songwriting.
One of my favorite songs..I love Stevie.. I got to shake her hand at a DC concert..during Rhiannon..I seen her 7 times in concert and Fleetwood Mac 5 times. Best Band!
Stevie Nicks laid it all bare. We all have defenses around ourselves to protect ourselves, to protect our psyches. Imagine taking your defenses down in front of millions? Perfect performance.
Stevie always sings her songs with emotion that captivates her audience. She really puts all of herself into her live performances. Definitely one of a kind and Fleetwood Mac...they are definitely one of a kind.
You love Fleetwood Mac so much because the musicians are so connected to each other and their music is about stuff they felt personally. That emotional connection makes it powerful.
The moment Stevie turns to Lindsey and screams “never get away” over and over gives me chills every time!

He sings backup as well. They both knew how tough this was and both knew the high art that comes out of it.
He also kinda sorta wrote Go Your Own Way which was pretty brutal..."packing up shacking up is all you want to do". I'd say they're pretty much even.
Lindsay had already written, and sung at her, "Go Your Own Way." Come off. He's no hero.
Yeah, he did the same to her with his songs, “The Chain “ and “You Can Go Your Own Way”.
His wife was also in the audience
The sound of her voice haunting him meant he would hear her on the radio and never get away. Eccentric genius of Stevie Nicks. Greatest song to never make an album
It made it onto the DVD-A version of Rumours. Anyone with a DVD player should run and buy this version. This surround version of this album is excellent and was also re-mixed for that format.
It eventually made it onto the album around 2004 when they remastered it
Best Stevie Nicks song. Beautiful, and it must have been tough for her to sing in concert..with Lindsey staring at her.
Lindsey pulling out all her emotions, daring her to give him hell, with his eyes and facial expressions. Only someone that you loved dearly could pull that out of you so many years later. Buckingham is so underrated as a guitarist- no pick, and that smooth sound and tone.
There is a reason that every time they fire Lindsey they have to get 2 people to replace him

Well said!!!👊❤
AND Stevie started seeing the drummer Mick Fleetwood at the same time.
With that much tension in the air, it’s a miracle they could even bear to still play as a band, let alone to produce a masterpiece like “Rumors”
The Chain Live from 1982. A must.
ruclips.net/video/dGykwC0fdJ4/видео.html

Stevie Nicks is in a category all by herself! An absolute legend
It should have been on the album
@@rossrubino9080 It is a great song, one of the best songs of the 1970s.
@@rossrubino9080the reason it wasn’t had nothing to with personal issues. It was merely a case of the song not being able to fit on the album because of the length of it. There was no digital recording in the mid 70s
You don't know Fleetwood Mac until you've listened to the Rumours album front to back. Every song is a classic.
They are much more than Rumors. That's beginners Fleetwood Mac. Start at their Blues roots and go to the present. To see they're true evolution.
Lindsey was not married. He briefly got back with Stevie and then told her his Gf was pregnant. Just before this. This was very real.
This entire concert, "The Dance" is amazing.
Yes! I’ve commented the same on so many channels! Hearing AND seeing THE DANCE reunion/ concert is a must- Epic-✨🔥
Top shelf.
It (the studio version) was the flip side of “Go Your Own Way”
Because it didn't make it onto "Rumours." There wasn't enough room due to vinyl albums having a limited amount of space, and unfortunately, this song was the one that was dropped from the album.
The - You'll never get away - never get away - never get away - at the end - was person to person - she meant it.
How this song did not win a Grammy is beyond me
Thank You! Silver Springs is a great old song. Definitely my favorite by Fleetwood ac and that is saying something.
This was almost 20 years after recording the album. So no, she doesn't have to imagine how it feels. Her and Lindsey try to keep it professional, but she still feels the way the words did sting then. So does he.
Always loved this live version!
Well, if you like them you should really check out songs from their album PRIOR to them joining Fleetwood Mac. It's called "Buckingham Nicks" which was their very first album back in 1973. I have the vinyl album from back then and it's very good. Check it out!
Some of their best work is on that album in my opinion. I have it on vinyl. And the fact that it was recorded on the Neve doesn't hurt either. LOL
Yes.....I have that on vinyl and Long Distance Winner and Races are Run are 2 of my fav songs...
Sunflowers and your face fascinate me..... I need to go listen....
This version gives me chills, every time
I am 58 years old.
I had a love like this with a woman, once.... .
As Stevie says at the end (you cut it off) "Silver Springs is a great old song"...and Buckingham's guitar is perfection.
Brad - "Do you think it's still hard to sing a song like this like 20 years later?"
Stevie - Look at my face during this live performance and you be the judge.
Remember she is talking about Lindsey Buckingham, the guitarist in this video. If you keep your eyes on her face it is painfully obvious that she is still to this day angry about that period in their lives. She looks right at him while singing. "I'll follow you down 'til the sound of my voice will haunt you, haunt you, give me just a chance
You'll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you, loves you, was I just a fool?"
Stevie gives him the death stare while singing if he told her he loved her. And he just stood there and took it because he knew it was true and it was just how their relationship went.
Singing it might be a little, or more than a little, cathartic. Getting any lingering anger out.
Fleetwood Mac "Hypnotized" & "Peacekeeper"...Nuff Said.
Often they end their concerts on this one. ruclips.net/video/eLRyYETnoIE/видео.html
Lyndsey's most famous song is Tusk.
Christine wrote the hit song “You Make Loving Fun” about her affair with one of their roadies.
I LOVE this so much yes it’s about Lindsey I get chills when she looks into his soul and let’s him know he can never forget her. Ever… and he knows it…

I get goose bumps every time I hear this. I love this band!
Yeah that last minute of the song you can tell this was all about them. Crazy emotions.
You need to see/react to Say Goodbye - from Lindsey’s Soundstage and or the version from 2004 live in Boston -

We were so spoiled back in the day. We would turn on the radio and this stuff just flowed like honey. My how times have changed.
Fun times🙂
ALL THOSE GREAT SOUNDS FROM THE MAC OF COURSE BUT EXTRAAAA TO THOSE BEAUTIFUL KEYS COMING FROM ( CHRISTIE MCVIE ) 😊JUST GORGEOUS STUFF😊

90 percent of their music is about there relationship
It's the great harmony with Stevie coming on strongly. Such a voice. All of them great musicians and performers.

Stevie Nicks is a treasure. One of the best female vocalists in history.
Hippy Grit!
You nailed it.
And, yes. Stevie and Lindsey have testified to the fact that this did get emotional to sing to each other.
Only so many days to make amends . . .
Such a great song! Haunting ending.
She was singing into his soul at the end.

This song is about Lindsay. Stevie was literally yelling at him at the end. She truly brought this home. Just a beautiful song.
I agree Lex, Love Fleetwood Mac. Yes Stevie and Lindsey both wrote songs about each other. Great stuff.
Best Band!
Stevie Nicks was on American Horror Stories. Love both a lot. I share a birthday with Stevie Nicks, John Wayne and Lennie Kravitz. May 26th.
The most underrated guitarist of all time -- Lindsey Buckingham
Watching those finger fly when he's picking is quite the trip.
Stevie Nicks laid it all bare. We all have defenses around ourselves to protect ourselves, to protect our psyches. Imagine taking your defenses down in front of millions? Perfect performance.
This band was filled with tension. So many songs were bandmembers singing to each other.
Stevie always sings her songs with emotion that captivates her audience. She really puts all of herself into her live performances. Definitely one of a kind and Fleetwood Mac...they are definitely one of a kind.
When she turns and sings 'at' Lindsey...man. I bet he felt that...
This is the deepest song from 2 band members who were in love
This was such a great concert! She came through on her own tour a few months later. Good times!
You love Fleetwood Mac so much because the musicians are so connected to each other and their music is about stuff they felt personally. That emotional connection makes it powerful.
I remember hearing this song on a jukebox, and thinking "this is great, why isn't this on an album?" Probably my favorite FM song
The title is from Silver Springs, MD. Stevie saw the highway song when she was in the area.
