Gotta love The Avalanches
Why does this not have more views
its brand new
Amazing interview! Thank you for this, definitely deserves more views 🙏🏼
great interview!! love the avalanches so much
Lovely interview! Saw them perform the album in an historic Melbourne amphitheatre last night and it was something else!
I JUST FOUND THIS AND IM SO EXCITED FREAAAAAAK!!!
its my first time to almost cry with music, their new album really hit me.
brilliant people , thanks
nice
i hope they make the TRUE sample-heavy follow up to since i left you someday
wasn't wildflower that?
@@jalen-uq8sq It wasn't as cleverly sample-focused as their first album. Wildflower had lots of convenient live instrumentation in place of their older esoteric sound of finely chopping and layering samples. The guest vocals often seem tacky and gimmicky too.
@@tyburvandeezo8218 Yea it was definitely their B game album if we're considering what they did. But to be fair how do you live up to Since I l Left You? While I would love to see the band get back together and try a sample heavy album again, I doubt it could compare. The original felt like a perfect storm of plunder-phonics at play.
@@Chromeberd I've tried to capture the essence of their first album since i was a kid. It's a passion/obession plunderphonics project that has
taken over my life. Many albums later i've come close, but no one cares haha. I think the avalnches realize that their old sound is 'archaic' compared to
most modern productions. I'm guessing either their label or their need to sound modern is the only reason we haven't gotten a "proper" follow up. I think they could do it if they wanted!

Hello, I was just wondering if I could sample 14 seconds of this video for a song I am working on. Great interview by the way, I am a fan of The Avalanches.
It's funny how Americans always think that Australia is like another planet and speak to Australians like English isn't their first language.
what americans have you met?
