The problem with this video is it doesnt show a comparison between pure and impure honey. It would have been more helpful if you had demonstrated the methods on both kinds so we could see the difference
The simple method to test pure honey is by taste. Honey produced by bees, originates from flowers' nectar. Fruits also originated from flowers. If we bite into any fruit, we can taste its flavor first, then the sweetness. The fruit's sweetness comes second in a half a second gap. So, pure honey would also have the same character in the taste. You can actually detect the distinct taste of real honey first then the sweetness follows very close. If it is sugar syrup or fake honey, then you would be able to detect the sweetness first, the flavor comes second. The same goes for honey if the bees were fed with sugar water. You will need some practice and experience to get this method of detectiom through your taste bud right. InsyaAllah
+Robyn Sleeper I agree and not just for our namesake ;). They make this fancy video with text fades and whatnot :) but there's no comparison. Eventhough it may be obvious to see the difference once you try it at home but still it should be in there. Pure honey is great stuff though it's one of the few sugars I'll gladly eat on occasion. Also a lot of people use it in their tea but a beekeeper once told me that if you put it in scolding hot tea the good stuff about raw honey goes lost though. Better to eat it by a spoon or put it in after the tea has cooled off.
+Robin nolastname What the beekeeper told you is true: all the previous enzymes and vitamins, that make honey the nutritional treasure it is, are destroyed at high temperatures.
Nick Sigma SHF yeah it's a shame a lot of people don't realize this because they buy it for the benefits and its usually quite pricy too but then go and destroy it without realizing :P
Nick Sigma SHF aint that the truth. Well im glad i saw the light I've learned A LOT about food and health in the passed two years. I see you are no stranger to the gym either right? Combined that with food and I lost 30kg in the passed two years and packed on a healthy amount of muscle. I'm now at 88kg aiming for 85~ at 1.80cm Never felt better. Though its not always easy to stay off the bad food cuz its litterally everywhere!
Well Honey can be created by bees not any other creatures. The point is what are bees fed to produce the honey. They can feed on different types of flowers that is why we see different honey types. The only thing we have to be sure of is they are not fed by sugary waters. Even the types of flowers can affect the honey quality for example if the kinds of flowers they are fed are strongly fertilised by chemicals then the honey quality most likely to not to have any good benefits as the real honey so in this case the price can make us understand which honey is purest.
+Butter, Bread & Stews i know is made by bees but the honey found today is diluted with other ingredients so one is not buying 100% pure honey. Even when trying to do this test, if it is mixed one will not be able to see a difference. Now honey has syrup and things like that not easily recognizable when diluted with honey. I don't remember the name of those ingredients right now. I buy my honey from local agriculture stores but they don't solidify at room temperature and I have found they have different consistency from store to store even though they say is 100 % pure. My grandfather use to cultivate bees and I notice the difference in taste and consistency. Btw... I am thankful for your video
+Jorge Martinez that's what I meant. It is really difficult to find organic honey here. They say is 100 % honey but I think it's not; I think is processed honey . My grandfather used to work with bees and I remember how difficult it was to take the honey out of the bottle. I can be wrong cause I was a little girl but that is what I remember. I think when the honey is pure, and at room temperature, the honey moves really slow and have a very thick consistency.
The simple method to test pure honey is by taste. Honey produced by bees, originates from flowers' nectar. Fruits also originated from flowers. If we bite into any fruit, we can taste its flavor first, then the sweetness. The fruit's sweetness comes second in a half a second gap.
The best way to test pure honey is... Put a tsp of honey in a bowl, slowly add water so that it covers the honey. Then swirl the bowl. If the honey shows the bee hive pattern it's pure honey. And if it doesn't then it's impure honey.
this is misleading because they put honey into water but don't stir it, so you don't know if it dissolves or not in this short time sample. The burning trick also isn't good because the substrate will burn, and yes sugar burns, so there isn't a way to tell from igniting it. Lastly, the example is only reveals that the substance used has a high viscosity but that doesn't mean it is pure honey...now lets try some real tests, instead of these misleading ones.
Guys. I'm confused here. You guys mention honey does not dissolve in water. My honey forms a lump at the bottom and does not mix with water when a stir it. However, when I leave it for a couple of minutes it dissolves. Still pure or not?
Best one to check the purity ..just put a tablespoon of honey in a bowl half filled with water..now spin around this solution..u can easily notice the honeycomb like texture at the base of the bowl..hence proved.. Thanks
+Wyde A. Wake Sorry for not putting the fake honey unfortunately at the stage I was making this video, the fake honey was not in my access at all but I very much wanted to upload the video. But there is other video on youtube that shows both fake and real together and I am sure if you search it you will find it. cheers
#1) Not sure how that one works, both real and cut honey do that unless it's stupidly watered down. #2) Both would burn because the cut honey with fructose which is... Sugar! #3) Very, very situational to the temperature of the honey and the type of honey. Now for the best way.. Turn the bottle over and read the back as it'll say if it was cut. Bought it from a farmer's market well... That is a bit harder
ooops i messed up I tested it again. I kinda burns. The q-tip gets black. But it's difficult to keep the honey on the tip it kinda runs off. but doesn't that mean it's fake too?
Is honey bee poop? Idon’t know why this myth persists, but it does. Sometimes the person asks in a half-joking but tentative way, as if it might be true but they hope it’s not. Others are totally convinced it is true and want verification. Others are just curious because it’s something they heard somewhere. This myth is followed in popularity by a second one: honey is bee vomit. Well, closer maybe, but still not true. In fact, nectar is stored in an organ called the “honey stomach” which is part of the bee’s esophagus. But the honey stomach-also known as the honey sac, crop, or ingluvies-is a specialized organ designed to expand and store nectar until it can be ferried back to the hive. Once the forager bee returns home she regurgitates the contents of the honey stomach and, through the process oftrophallaxis, transfers it to a house bee. The house bee will begin to process the nectar into honey. Honey bees also have an organ for digestion called the ventriculus or mid-gut. But the mid-gut occurs after the honey stomach and is separated from it by the proventriculus which is a muscular organ that regulates the opening between these two parts of the alimentary canal. Further down the line are the intestines, rectum, and anus. So the major parts of the esophagus and digestive system are lined up like this (arrows show direction of food movement): mouth↔esophagus↔crop (honey stomach)→proventriculus→ventriculus (digesting stomach)→intestine→rectum→anus So you see? Everything is separate. It may seem complex to us, but the bees know what they’re doing. Rusty
The viscosity of honey is different depending on countries temperature. For instance in the tropic the finger drop test will be running out over the nail. And you did not compared Pure and Impure ????
What if some people prefer high fructose corn syrup, do they buy the cute little plastic bear at Walmart? It, like so many others resemble honey. Thanks for the info !
where in Georgia can you buy real honey every place I bought honey from in Georgia has been fake done to test it's been fake so where can you buy real honey

I'd have to give this video some bad marks, for not including a "bad" test result, along with the "good" test results. For example, the burning test was extremely vague. During the application of the flame, it did not appear that the honey caught fire and sustained the flame. Actually it looked like the honey wasn't burning at all, but rather the cotton swab underneath, but much later. And it was a very small flame at that, as if the honey was damping the flame of the swab.. That seems to be about what would happen when applying flame to "impure" honey, after it was first burnt off a cotton swab, and only then the swab starts a small smoldering flame. Totally ambiguous test results, especially when no comparison is made between "good" and "bad" results. Could have been better, more definitive. Disclaimer: The videos you "do" make are better than the videos I "don't" make.
Kazzzzzo , some honey does not crystalize . It depends on the level of fructose and sucrose. In Western Australia we have a high grade honey from the jarrah tree that also has great medicinal properties . The way to tell if this honey is genuine jarrah honey is if it does NOT crystalize..
this is just testing of it has wax or not a way to test if it's real is put it in an area bees usually come at and see if they collect it don't get stung though
Nice video I'm glad someone took the time to show people what pure honey is supposed to do in the examples that you provided. BTW ignore the cry babies
this is pure fake info... you can check it like that but you cant find out which one is pure or not.. nobody can do that.. only one way can find out fake and pure.. but that is vary expensive..
it would be better if u have show both pure and impure

Same thoughts here. Should have shown both the cases.
Jitendra Pastaria my thoughts exactly
Jitendra Pastaria I agree

In the video it's simpler. Your method of knowing wether it's pure or not is more complicated.
Fortunately, I have successfully made a syrup that passed all that test except my method of detection.
Don't ask how. I won't share it.
SYED MOHD. TAZRIN SYED MUSTAFFA how?
You really should show both sides... real honey's reactions, and not all real honey's reactions.

the last test depends on room temperature. honey become more liquid when temp is higher.
Ok but this days Honey is more a mix of ingredients. How do I know if it is 100% pure honey?

Make sure its organic or something. Most honey suppliers add sugar to it and it still passes the water test!

you can find smalls places online that sell it! Its a little pricey but its the real thing. I use it with turmeric every day

Your last test with on top the finger nail is incorrect, you are acutally testing viscosity.
If you want to proof 100% your test in the video, you should compare and show to us between the pure and impure honey.
The "pure" does not implicate one ingredient but rather the purification process which is the heating and filtration.
this is misleading because they put honey into water but don't stir it, so you don't know if it dissolves or not in this short time sample. There is no such a honey that do not dissolves. All honey contain abot 17 % of water
Vicosity test or water content test only.

Great video, but had to silence it cause that high pitch hurt my ears.
Thanks for the info. What band or musician are you playing for the audio track? Pretty chill stuff!
try this if honey is pure ants wont eat that...
The thing that gets me is their label does say 100% natural honey. So if it's not shouldn't they be lieable or something

During these pandemic timez, this was much needed. FASHO🤾
Hello, thank you for your work. Would it be possible to do a video on lash and eyebrow care?

what is the name of the music on the video and the group playing it?
what an awesome sound!
I could'nt stop watching and listening over and over.
Worthless without comparison shots using fake honey. Music and special effects add nothing....

From imovies library
+Butter, Bread & Stews can u give me a link to the song

Try to place honey inside freezer... if it became like ice...its not pure.
very fruitful and informative ....
thankyu.
after buying the honey then only we can test if found not pure..
what is next step
At least you can understand if the brand you buy is good to continue
i bought honey straight from a bee farm. is it real?
Thanks so much..I can differentiate now 🍯🍯
#1) Not sure how that one works, both real and cut honey do that unless it's stupidly watered down.

No, honey comes out of their mouths, not their bottoms. Bee poop is different; we actually get it on our outdoor tables all the time.

Thank you so now I know what to look for
not necessarily.. purity is depend on the types of the honey
What's the name of the second song (flute music) ??? Somebody please tell me.
Pure honey doesn't burn rather if wax is mixed, it will burn.
Please make a video that, at which time we should eat honey
Water test is simple
a list of real and fake brands would streamline the profit margin to the fake companies and the wasted time and money of the consumer
interesting information but background has dark light. try to make another clip with enough light for better quality.
UNCLEDOUG SAYS THANK YOU I LOVE TO LEARN !!!
Wild Forest Honey's price is given but not the measurement in grams or liter
I will try it at home, let see. thanks for information.
Can wait to see the reaction when I try this at the store
Hahahahaha
You should show a comparison between the two.
Old (black/dark brown) honey is more beneficial rather then fresh honey
pure honey does not freeze......I've tried it
Really ?
yusuuf ibrahim yes really
AqualuvsMC yep....
What if some people prefer high fructose corn syrup, do they buy the cute little plastic bear at Walmart? It, like so many others resemble honey. Thanks for the info !
Is the normal rowse honey pure?
I think yes
The music !
music? whats the name
where in Georgia can you buy real honey every place I bought honey from in Georgia has been fake done to test it's been fake so where can you buy real honey
I try that, pure is or not pure de same
I tested my honey and it failed the light test 🤭. It melted and dripped without burning
Easy raw/pure honey will crystalise but impure honey will not
I did but pantajali honey not pure .
I tried water test and both did the exact same thing
The water has to be at room temperature
what's the into music please?
thanks
it's difficult to get good honey

Like the video will try the test.
Where's fake honey sample?
I know the pure honey, which we take from our farm wild Bee's honey, 100 percent pure and you don't have to test.
Hi
this is just testing of it has wax or not a way to test if it's real is put it in an area bees usually come at and see if they collect it don't get stung though
Thank you so much
compare it with impure honey also.
¡¡¡Thank-You!!!, Now I Know Better 🍯🐝
its pure since it holds its shape with in 6 seconds after pored on finger.
Don't buy honey from street dealers.
Go and retrieve it from a bee hive....if the bees seem bothered/irritated/aggressive and sting u to death; well then the honey is 100% pure🤣😂
Nice video I'm glad someone took the time to show people what pure honey is supposed to do in the examples that you provided.
BTW ignore the cry babies
Only forever living products can make pure honey
Real organic honey cost alot if u goin to super market your best chance is to get most expensive brand
Bennett's honey farm in Fillmore, CA sells FAKE honey. it doesn't burn.
Add little iodine into water mixed honey if fake -the colour will change
Than you for share....
GREAT WORK,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Awesummmm..... Thank alot
good video

Test of pure honey
from my experience real raw honey is way thicker and is more of a paste rather than a slow moving liquid.
thank you.
Should have shown both cases ! Pure and non pure!
this is pure fake info... you can check it like that but you cant find out which one is pure or not.. nobody can do that.. only one way can find out fake and pure.. but that is vary expensive..
Oo you don't have impure honey
honey have many variables that change it characteristics no one can tell if the honey is natural and pure except by lab test , this is pointless.
pure honey gives you a little burn in your throat!
al aezah yeah its because there's an alcohol in the honey
Thank u....
Its was at this moment I realised I needed a girlfriend
cool!!!
Just a copy of bonbonquest's video. Actually your is less informative cuz you don't have fake vs pure honey shoots.
bonbonquest did this first
Not accurate except num 1 test.
