Use the straight stick for your 1090 it will work heaps better than the Discone ,i went from about 8 planes to 30 with proper antenna ,also put it as high as you can.Good Video.
Yeah, changing the whole network interface naming scheme was an idiotic decision probably made by some dim-witted manager at RedHat after which everyone followed suit. It shouldn't have been touched ever.
