So I've only used this pressure washer one time. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP The one time I used it, it worked great. I recently had new siding installed but kept the old gutters and small areas surrounding my house that weren't replaced so they looked horrible and dirty because of the new siding. I needed to get it cleaned asap. When I used the pressure washer, man it just melted all the dirt and grime that was on those areas of my house. I used that krud kutter soap and it was over after that. Easy to assemble, feels durable, very simple to use. Also, I purchased a used one to save money and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I want to get more use out of it so I think I'll be washing the cars and update this comment as time goes on.
Overall a nice job Gary. One tip I would suggest is to back off more when spraying/rinsing around windows. Windows are made to withstand strong wind and rain, but not up close pressure washing. At the range you are rinsing it isn't hard to force water around the seals and get water inside the double pane windows. You won't see it the day you do it, but you're risking permanent window fogging and being liable for replacing windows. I'm not saying you're doing a bad job, I'm just trying to help protect your wallet.
Thanks...something I learned the hard way several years ago before I started my own business and got myself some professional training and education. Thank goodness I only did this on one window and not my entire house. I didn't get much water in, not enough for the full fogging, but it still left a nasty haze inside the window. Now I use the Soft Washing method and my residential grade pressure washer broke years ago and I've never had the need to get it fixed. I may fix it this year to do small tasks, but there isn't much I can't do equally or better with less damage using Soft Washing instead of pressure washing.
Yeah, gutters look good, I'm finding tough stuff stuck on aluminum gutters. Going back to some manual brushing, and experimenting with different cleaners.
Nice video Gary. What is the special chemical that you use to get the gutters clean. Mine are dirty and wont come clean after regular powerwash solution. I hope this is not a trade secret because I really need some help. Irish guy
Gutter zap. Order online. The black streaks are ‘electrostatic bonding’ that comes from the tar in the shingles. Mix Gutter Zap with water. Spray on gutters and agitate with soft bristle brush. Gutters will look brand new.
Looks great. I just "over" bought a pressure washer to wash my gutters and siding and I wasn't able to get the gutters to come clean. They looked better but not white like yours. What chemical did you use?
Hey bud. We’re did you buy that long wand with the bend already in it. I can’t find it anywhere. Please help !! Also we’re do I find that bucket with handle your carrying around. Please help !!! Thanks
How do you do that with perforated eaves/overhangs?.....water gets in behind the siding or at least on the bare framing where the eaves are attached...and gets water into the attic surface or framing.....right?
A very small amount does get wet, but not enough to cause damage because the perforated eaves breath to allow anything that gets wet once every couple of years or more to dry pretty quick.
@@garynitzskysimplyclean4609 ...sorry, that's one argument I won't buy or test. When you look at old home remodeling, the mold or 'Soft-wood" you find in some homes, is typically from a small leak, too. Many homes need siding cleaned once every 2 years,,...so it's not all that infrequent...and these homes that need this service are often in Southern , near-tropical climates where things don't tend to dry well after they are wetted. I fear the underbelly eave area is one place you need to scrub and flush manually somehow using a different method to avoid water spray from getting inside or worse, somehow behind siding or even in the upper drywall or insulation area. I was up in the attic area of my attached garage, and the amount of open space of the perforated eaves was easily seen from there... and the area was enormous...I wouldn't trust " a little is OK" answer as there is nothing you can check afterwards, because it's all hidden when viewed from the outside. The Insulation up there can get wet too and its difficult to get dry once wet.
People who do pressure washing like this don't know SHIT about building science. YOU NEVER spray water on the underside of vented soffits, especially with a pressure washer. All this guy did was push water up on the underside of the roof, soak the attic insulation where it will mold and mildew and not provide as much insulating as well as create mold and mildew inside the walls of the house. This is a BIG NO NO..... you're better off getting a ladder and a spray bottle filled with water and bleach and spraying it down and then following back up with a cheap bundle of shop rags to wipe everything down.
Hi Gary! Would like to know what is the ratio of chlorine to water and dish soap for 5 gallon bucket to clean streaks on guttters? Also are you using granular or powder chlorine?
+6rangr Don't use dish soap with bleach - it will give off harmful gasses (similar to the gases used in WWI and WWII for trench warfare) as many dish soaps have ammonium laurel sulfate as a surfactant and ammonia and bleach do not mix well. Actually sodium laurel sulfate doesn't mix well with bleach either. Check CLOSELY on the label as it will likely say not to mix with bleach.
No it won't and not it isn't. That's ammonia and bleach. And although chloramine is toxic (like many halogen gases), you would have to be in an enclosed area to be overcome. It's not similar to any chemical warfare agent. It is used every day to chlorinate our water. Stick to what you know.
wish you'd told us the name of your 'special chemical' at the first of this video. Your sprayer seems really out of control and messy. That's the black dirt collection between your gutter and the house. You almost need to get on the roof to spray that really well. Sure hope too it didn't discolor or fade your roof shingles.
In a country with over 100,000 different cities and 320 million people...you want to keep a mixture "secret"...that you didn't invent to begin with. Where would you be if the person that pointed you in the right direction had been a selfish prick like you are?

also, the screens can actually be stripped and left looking pretty bad if you spray them too close and hard. I know, I learned the hard way.
Gary don't care....the chemical mix he uses is pretty cheap.... it's moose piss.
Yeah, gutters look good, I'm finding tough stuff stuck on aluminum gutters. Going back to some manual brushing, and experimenting with different cleaners.
any luck? i ran into the same thing
Great video. I think i need that lance extension.

+Joseph Malone i'm guessing simple cherry and bleach. simple cherry alone works really well and can be purchased by anyone. just search for it.
Simple cherry wont remove oxidation on gutters.

enzymes and peroxide are the best solution
F13 better know as Gutter Grenade... It works wonders
Looks great. I just "over" bought a pressure washer to wash my gutters and siding and I wasn't able to get the gutters to come clean. They looked better but not white like yours. What chemical did you use?
SH
I prefer soft wash.. But you got those gutters clean!!! What did u use?
I think it depends on the material and how porous it is.
It’s in the title. Simply Clean is an environmental biodegradable cleaner. It has instructions on the bottle.
I just did a house and sprayed the gutters with the house wash did not do nothing
Hey bud. We’re did you buy that long wand with the bend already in it. I can’t find it anywhere. Please help !! Also we’re do I find that bucket with handle your carrying around. Please help !!! Thanks
Do you all dial back the pressure according to the use of simply stand back or change the tips to reduce pressure?
What type of tip is that??
The sliding door looks like its open??
I thought that also
if it's was open..that soap hanging in mid air is some awesome stuff
What is the mixture as I live in Florida and would like to use it here for my home.
Chuck Hall the special chemical is bleach sh nothing special about it
Bleach and water. I like to do 1:1. For driveways I used dawn soap and vinegar with water. It works for me.
