I wanna share you my situation so that you can be able to analyze it accordingly and it will be a great help and relief to me.
I completed my diploma in 2015-2018 and joined in B tech in the year 2018 and after the 1st academic year (2018-19), I chose to work a State government job, which i got on Diploma basis. Since it is a government job, I took long leave to complete my B tech after working for 3 years in that job (2019-2022). At present I am in my final year of B tech. Will this be an obligation to get into IIM's though technically I dont have any gap years but i will be having a 6 year degree in my hand. Please respond mam. Thank you.
Don't worry too much about the 6-year degree, as you have work ex to show and have accomplished a lot during that time. Remember to showcase your skills, experiences, and passion for your field when applying to IIM's. Best of luck, and keep rocking that B tech!

HI if i leave my job by march 2024 and Targeting CAT 2024 will that be considered as a GAP year? becasue technically its not 1 year.
Yes anything more than 7-8 month will be considered gap year, but that will be manageable
