Nice video bro , I recently opened a PayPal business account with my NIN, I did not get any restrictions and I have not used the account yet . My question is since I used my NIN to open it , does it mean I am at risk of having it blocked cause thats the fear holding me back from using it
Not at all, as long as there's no initial restrictions you should be fine, but just to be safe, start receiving small amounts only on the account and test it out, but you should definitely have no issues with your account 👍🏾

new account? mine is many years old and they locked it lol what dumb is they dont even tell u why they did it even if u are really in the wrong it would be nice to know what u did wrong so u dont do it again when u make a new account if u can even make a new one and it is something i find odd that the fix is to make a new account when u have an account with your real name and u need a new one with your real name it just leaves room for scammers to make an account with your real name and if they have your info they can get your account locked if they give the info first

@@kyse2 The exact same thing happened to me like literally identical, they told me they can’t tell me why and they told me I can never make another PayPal account, I mean this is just terrible service screw those guys... I heard it could be because you violate the user agreement, but I for sure know I never did that and I have had a PayPal account literally since 2008 when I was a damn kid, I sell and buy on eBay and I am at 100% positive rating.. im the LAST Person that should be on this ban

I'd recommend trying to submit the NIN first to see if the restrictions are cleared on the current account, if not, then you can create a new one using the International passport

Great question Maeyo, I've actually seen this first hand. 2019, a friend came visiting me from US and tried to access their PayPal account from here and the account got limited, it took a long call and a few other verification procedures to free up the account again. So having someone in the US open an account for you may mean they have to also run it for you, if one minute someone in the US (your friend) logs in with their US IP and the next minute you log in with your Nigerian IP, PayPal will definitely raise an eyebrow. Which is where a VPN might help, but these days VPN accounts get spotted and blocked in no time, so unless they open and run it for you (that is withdraw for you and maybe send via western union to your Nigerian account), it might not be a good idea.

I have the same problem before but I letter noticed that the problem is the IP of the phone or the system you are using, maybe you have created many account with it.

Hi Nikky, PayPal is amazing at restricting accounts without cause or warning. Its not actually a recent problem, but it's growing as the days go by, regardless of the country using PayPal in my opinion is like walking on a minefield. I'll suggest you contact their support, hopefully they can give some answers and possibly assist you with your account reactivation

Hi, It's best to avoid adding the same bank account or card details to two different PayPal accounts, this could get your account or both accounts restricted or straight up shut down, as this might be considered a security issue.

@@TheBrimFactor yes 👍 boss I remove the bank account and the visal prepaid card from the formal PayPal account, before I open another one and now the formal PayPal was closed by me before I even opon new one here
Oh cool, then you can use the card or bank account on the new PayPal no problems with that. The only issue is when it's linked to two different PayPal accounts at the same time, so you're good 👍🏾
I have PP account for 8 years and use it regulary. A week ago PP banned my account with that "account restriction" all of a sudden for no reason. I cannot contact them, and there are no options in resolution center. This is annoying as fuck, there is nothing I can do. I need to create NEW email and get a NEW credit card in order to make Paypal again ffs
This is the issue with PayPal, and this terrible experience is not even only a problem to people in Africa and other parts of the world where their services are not fully functional, even people in the US experience unexpected bans and restrictions, the difference is they can easily contact support and or even sue the company. I dare say PayPal will sooner or later be boycotted by a lot more people and they are heading down the path of doom. Just a couple of weeks ago, the Online Learning Platform SkillShare announced that they'll no longer be partnering with PayPal to process teachers payouts, they'll be using Tiptal instead, that's a sign of things to come, but for now they are the biggest fintech industry so we put up with their BS "FOR NOW"

@@preciousnzeakor4018 Yes I think it's generally a good idea to get your money out of PayPal, it's not exactly a savings type account, but about the fear of getting banned, I'd say that's another reason to withdraw quick, but with the type of account I teach how to open, the chances of being banned are very slim and even when that happens, you can contact support and get your money back. So in a nutshell, it's good to play it safe, but don't let fear cripple you

can anyone help me? it has been a month or so since i signed up in paypal. and just yesterday, paypal says i can't use their service anymore and they have put my account permanently limited. it says i can claim my money only after 180 days, and that's so long. they do't ask me for additional information either.

So sorry to hear your account got limited, sadly there's no way around it but to wait for the 180days and usually they'll let you have access and get your money back, just try to remember your password by then, who time I went through the exact same situation and when the time came, I had lost my password and lost my money.
Some people might tell you they know who to lift PayPal limitation, but the are mostly scammers who will try to steal your money.

Hi Kingsley, I have not personally tried this before, but I think it should work as long as the ID is the same as your PayPal account name, I'd say give it a shot

It's possible with other Nigerian ID, but the international passport has a higher chance

If you don't have an international passport, you can use any ID you have, there might be no issue, just that from experience I have had no problem with International passport
