Costco in Aberdeen UK had an alcohol section for years. Sure was great paying £18 for a 750ml bottle of 12 year old Glen Fiddich. It’s only a matter of time.
It has been in Quebec stores for decades, and the price was about half what it cost in Ontario for Stella. I don't drink so I only bought one 18 pack about 10 years ago.
we've had booze at costco in Alberta for years. the kirkland stuff is actually pretty good, but the real savings are on actual high end wine and sperits; costco has bigger discounts the more expensive the bottle.
I saw some Molson, Coors, Bud Light, Budweiser, and some other alcohol brand sold close to the bakery and meat section at my local Costco. Found it interesting, because I've only seen hydration and energy drinks sold.
Do not all Costco sell liquor ? They have a separate area in their building with its own entrance to where it’s sold, and you do not need a membership,👍🇨🇦
Costco can't compete in Costco style in Ontario. Still Costco has control over everything. What you can sell, high taxes. Costco Florida has excellent Italian Pinot Grigio for $4.95. many other really good Kirkland branded wines under $8. Sparkling wine for $8
This was clearly made by someone who has not experienced a Costco liquor store; they are one of the largest importers of wine in the world and have some pretty excellent selection of both local and imported wines, beers and spirits, and have their own Kirkland Signature branded products that are actually not bad.
This is cute, but in the States, we have always had beer and wine at CostCo. Some stores have a separate liquor store, for spirits and liqueurs, but that is Texas. I imagine in California, the spirits are in the main store. Again: L🔥VE you; love what you do, but there is no wine in plastic at CostCo. There are some great buys, on excellent vintages…🤗 Boxed wine, perhaps. I have never looked for it.
Idk. Allowing corner stores to sell alcohol is a lifeline for many of these struggling businesses. Of course the govt did it for big money interests just like with weed but if it benefits the thousands of neighborhood corner shops then its ultimately for the best.
Skit makes fun of fact it took Ontario - with close to 40% of Canada's population - until 2024 to catch up with rest of country/world in starting to sell booze in stores not under government control
Okay acting a little improved. They just need to work on this actually being funny. What's the punch line? What's wrong about Costco selling alcohol? How about it the alcohol sucked? It's all just mouth wash, and then the tester gets angry? Also the audio track is too dry. No footsteps? Entry bell? In pretty much every monty python the guy who walked into the shop was the lead. Still a waste of tax payer money.
Do i buy the ground chicken instead of normal ground beef....Its cheaper...Oh wait I need to pay my rent...Mr Noodles it is...........Fuck it Costco has cheap booze..I'll steal a car for the rent And steal copper piping from peoples homes...
Fun fact: Costco has sold liquor, wine and beer in the U.S. for years. Just part of being a free adult. But hey....if it makes being deprived of simple, basic things as a Canadian masochist/prisoner easier, make fun all you need.
Skit makes fun of fact Ontario - with close to 40% of Canada's population - is finally able to catch up with rest of country/world in selling booze outside of government controlled stores
How is this looking down on Albertans and Working Class Canadians? You've already cracked into one of those big-ass bottles of wine they're spoofing here! Don't be so sensitive Alberta, we all still love you and think you're really really important :)
Clearly a lot of CONservative tea-totallers amongst their "comedy" writers? Probably too young to own a membership, or at least never stepped into a Costco where booze is ACTUALLY sold! A truer parody would have them selling 3 x 36 packs of Bud Lite or bottles of German Reisling the size of a husky...or a small child.
Not a big fan of Costco lately. The management is snobby and the prices aren't really all that good anymore. The rules and restrictions have gotten ridiculous too.
LOL, the Scootch! 😅
comes with a piece of tape, score !!
😂Looks a bit like granny's only a thimble full will do bottle of vanilla on that old sitcom called the "Beverly Hillbillies"
Welcome back 22 minutes, missed you❤
I'm waiting for the Bud Tenders offering sample gummies. That'll calm down those hostile old ladies with those shopping carts!!!😂
I already can't find my car in the parking lot
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣

This is amazing you guys. I've been a fan of Royal Air Farce troupe and gotta say this new material is next level 😂😂

True Stella is way cheaper in Quebec
tried the vodka and gin at a weeding last year and the gin is made in a bathtub for sure
As an American, I just found out Costco in our neighbor up north didn’t have booze until now
they should sell weed so they can move those big ass bags of chips!
😂😂
😂😂😂
They really are big-ass bags of chips.
😋
So true! Pretty easy to do the wrong thing there regardless…😊
You guys are amazing ❤❤❤
Big Brother Knows I Drink!? OMG NO! I'm Playing The Homer Simpson Card: "Next you'll know what Operas I'll watch!"
Kirkland coolers in 2 litre bottles
I HATE KIRKLAND 😡
THIS is why Dougie spent $250+ Million on breaking the contract with the Beer Store. Not to get booze into convenience stores.
Wait he spend money to break that contract taxpayers money
yes the way the requirements are only big dogs can sell

Alberta Costco has been selling booze for decades. All good there. No drama, unlike this skit, lol.
Ohh bev mo !!! Costco 😂😂😂😂😂
Hilarious! 🤣

We gotta cope somehow.
Do not all Costco sell liquor ? They have a separate area in their building with its own entrance to where it’s sold, and you do not need a membership,👍🇨🇦
Western Canada has had booze at Costco for years already.
in your dream
@staryyouknow171 Alberta and Saskatchewan have liquor stores in their Costco's.
Costco liquor is legendary. The 1.75L Kirkland vodka single handedly revolutionized bush parties.
@@BlueHooloovooby "in their Costco", you mean right next door?
In Alberta and Sask maybe, but not in BC
Thanks to Fraud 😂
😂😂
Costco already sells alcohol 🍷

Why does Costco now sell liquor? You can sure tell people who work and living in Ontario don’t get out much.
This was clearly made by someone who has not experienced a Costco liquor store; they are one of the largest importers of wine in the world and have some pretty excellent selection of both local and imported wines, beers and spirits, and have their own Kirkland Signature branded products that are actually not bad.
This is clearly coming from someone who doesn't watch This Hour.
Thank you random costco store owner for clearing this up.

Barney Gumble at Costco?
lol
To be honest.. Kind of behind the times... A lot of the country has had Costco liquor for years in Canada...
Strange
Canadian humor is B-
Scrootch, is that like cheap knock off Screech?
I’m down.
Idk. Allowing corner stores to sell alcohol is a lifeline for many of these struggling businesses. Of course the govt did it for big money interests just like with weed but if it benefits the thousands of neighborhood corner shops then its ultimately for the best.
They'd be selling alcohol there in 'Taiwan for at least a decade.
Drank it up anyways.

@LLal-kq2cq i mean like. Shouldn't us tax payers expect higher quality content?

Love the show, to bad it's on CBC
too* Man the education system is lacking...
Crappy alcohol. Any takers
It interesting how peteified Canadians are of legal firearms, but keep increasing access to the most dangerous and destructive product in Canada.

Kirkland booze is top quality and really good prices. Unlike its stock price which is wildly overpriced.
Costco carries great wine actually. And is great for price.
Well, this is actually a good idea to get through the next 4 years of Trump. Costco size wine bottles and Costco size scotch.
Good to know you can always count on the CBC elites to not pass up on an opportunity to look down on BOTH Albertans AND working class Canadians!

Brutally unfunny.
