    i got a chance to sit with Lee M. at a autograph event. She is one of the nicest personsI I have ever met. Talking with her and sitting with her for the day is one of my fondest memories. Norman Fell asked me to sit in for him while he took a break. Also very nice. it was a great day.

    H/H match update:
    ...
    ~~~Today's action:
    Brett's "Elephant" was the one that scored our champion's fourth victory. (Although every single panelist had the same answer for that easy tie-breaker.)
    *Today's (first) audience match question: "Boots________"*
    (My thoughts: Are made for walking, On the ground, ???) This one seems hard to me.
    The celebs: Brett (and saddle), Lee via Richard (Malone), Richard (Strap) - This was a hard one, as evidenced by Lee's drawing a blank. I think Richard thought of the best answer today. It's the one I would pick, at any rate.
    The choice: Strap (The audience doesn't like it though.)
    The answers: Are Made For Walking (Ha!!!), Randolph, And Saddle (Well, I learned my lesson! I should have trusted Brett!)
    Audience Match Fail! First one since back-to-back fails in 1039 and 1040.
    ~~~
    Our champion doesn't even need his second-round question to win his fifth game.
    *Today's (second) audience match question: "Thrill________"*
    (My thoughts: Ride, Seeker, A Minute)
    The celebs: Brett (of a lifetime), Betty (Seeker), Richard (-er)
    The choice: Seeker
    The answers: Of a Lifetime, Me, Seekers
    To recap, our champion has chosen Richard for the H/H three times so far (they matched the first time), and of course he lost an opportunity at the H/H by striking out on the audience match earlier today. I noticed he seems to be phasing Richard out by choosing him for the final suggestion the last few times. Last time he took Richard's suggestion and struck out on the audience match. This time he took Betty's suggestion and scored $500. Will he choose Betty for the H/H? It's possible (especially after their sweet kiss), but I'd still bet he picks Richard again...
    No hesitation. He's still solidly on Team Richard. This is now King Richard's 22nd consecutive time answering the head-to-head question. He's matched seven of those 22 times so far.
    Stats: Richard has matched 94 of his 227 most recent attempts (41.4%), 77 of his last 184 attempts (41.8%), 33 of his last 87 attempts (37.9%), and 14 of his last 43 attempts (32.6%). His overall success rate is *41.5%* and this is his 705th attempt so far.
    For the sake of comparison: George has matched both of his 2 attempts, Betty has matched 19 of her 38 attempts (50.0%), Charles has matched 33 of his 69 attempts (47.8%), Brett has matched 30 of her 70 attempts (42.9%), and Richard has matched 292 of his 704 attempts (41.5%). Lee Meriwether has answered one H/H question without matching.
    *Today's H/H question: "________Breast"*
    (Chicken or Turkey? Is there anything else? I can't think of anything more obvious. I'll say chicken since KFC was big and people ate chicken all the time, turkey not so much.)
    Richard quickly makes up his mind, and with a fleeting glance at Betty, writes his answer. It looks to be on the longish side. He raises his eyebrows as if to say "Well, let's see how this goes" as he files his card.
    Our champion quickly answers "Big" breast. (What? Really? That's not even a common expression. People don't have a big breast (singular). "Big-breasted" might be a reasonable expression...) The audience is unsure whether to groan or laugh. Richard looks amused as well.
    Clearly, Richard didn't write "Big," so now I'm curious to see if I matched him today...
    Mercy! I keep matching Richard! "Chicken" was his answer too.
    No H/H match today.
    ~~~Here's our updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy:
    (Note: An asterisk before a celebrity's name signifies that she has "retired" from the show and her H/H stats are now complete.)
    (Note: For tied scores, I consider the one with the greater number of matches to be higher; if the matches are equal, the celeb who first achieved that score goes on top.)
    Orson Bean - 100% (4 wins in 4 attempts).
    TIE: (*)Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts).
    TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts).
    Gary Burghoff - 71.4% (5 wins in 7 attempts).
    Betty - 50.0% (19 wins in 38 attempts).
    Fannie - 48.3% (14 wins in 29 attempts).
    Charles - 47.8% (33 wins in 69 attempts).
    Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts).
    Brett - 42.9% (30 wins in 70 attempts).
    Richard - 41.4% (292 wins in 705 attempts).
    Bert Convy - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts).
    *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 1058, excluding the missing/damaged/unavailable episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325, 645, 910, 1024, 1025, 1026, 1027, 1028, 1029, and 1030. *Also, note that episode 849 was never produced. (These stats do, however, include the H/H results of missing episode 968 as those results were revealed in episode 969. Note: There was no H/H in missing episode 1035, as we learn in 1036.)
