- 50 Cent became one of the most influential hip-hop artists after debuting 'Get Rich Or Die Tryin'' on February 6, 2003. Produced by Dr. Dre and Eminem, the album sold 8.4 million copies in the United States and personified the Queens rapper’s hustler image that he first became famous for on his mixtapes.

It's all because of Eminem, you gotta thank him for 50's success
True man i witnessed that ! G-Unit was ruling
i have to disagree with that... You could make an argument for lil Wayne and Jeezy during that time Frame, definitely Can 👍

Khalil Harris Hey that still a pretty good rank.
Khalil Harris Yo if they had a list for top 5 best non lyrical rappers 50 would definitely be in that list 50 Cent is not a lyrical rapper but for some reason he still is dope asf🔥that's why honestly I like at 50 as a special rapper he's not lyrical but his music still bump.
Khalil Harris He's a good song writer he's good at structuring a song.
It’s because of this album that I really start to like Hip-Hop music !!Thanks Fifty!

Get Rich or Die Tryin is one of the only hip-hop albums I've heard where there's basically no filler tracks, and every song is a banger. Easily one of the greatest albums in the genre's history.

How ?50 cent is a rat how you think movie are made 🗣👮♂️
I grew up listening to this guy. Legend!
DJ Quadre same
I still have the original CD of GRoDT. Not many people can say that they owned an era & 50 is one of them. I mean he literally owned the early 2000's. Man's a legend.
With all do respect to illmatic, carter 1-3, all eyez on me, etc this is the greatest rap album off all time
50 was the first rap artist I ever heard. When I was a kid my uncle introduced me to his music and we'd sit there for hours listening to his music
After PAC and BIG died I didn't follow real hiphip until the return of G-Unit General 50Cent
I definitely agree, everything seemed to change with their passing.
DMX was the closest we had to a new 2Pac
DMX was the guy that filled the pac/big void for me. 50 later
Pac and BIG pushed other artists when they were alive to drop better music IMO, after 97 it was all downhill pretty much for a while.... I would say it came back some with Nas Stillmatic and so on in 01 and a few underground albums but it would return in full around 02-03 for a minute and 50 had a huge buzz then I remember.
Ahhh I love 50 Cent so much, he was the first rapper I listened to, when I was like 6 years old and my brother listened to 50 and Eminem all the time. Man I love this album so much, it is so sad that no one of my friends listens to hip hop in general, and I can't share my excitement about music :'(
Sugar honey iced tea hey, we got you fam. Speak your mind out!
Sugar honey iced tea music connects so hard. if someone listens the same type op music as you, you'll both instantly like eachother. it's kinda dope
same bro
Oh I feel that. I'm at Uni, studying a something where the majority of people have no sense of good-anything. All just trying to follow the trend and pretend they ain't as individual as they are. My music collection is one of my pride and joys, and hearing people diss me about my music taste behind my back is the worst. I could educate all of them but nahhh... They just want to pretend to be someone they ain't. Can't save anyone.
DowzerWTP72 same . Its crazy
not only a legend, but an icon.
So weird i've been playing this album all week for the first time in about 7 years and now this video gets released, it's a small world.
Me too. Listened to his first album 2 days ago now this video gets released.
It’s cause today is the 15 year anniversary of when it got released
SAME
I’ve been listening to the movie sound track and album for the past week too and i was shocked to see this
Same wtf I've been listening to 50 for two weeks now
I'VE BEEN PATIENTLY WAITING FOR A TRACK TO EXPLODE ON.
that part got me
When i think back to how big 50 was when he came out i get chills. During that period no name in music was bigger.
wow
Get rich or die tryin is FIRE top to bottom, EVERY SONG
Probably my favourite album of all time, The Massacre gives it a run for its money though.
SoloSoLow documentary by game is a close second for me, those two are the last true gangsta classics imo
Game’s Doctor’s Advocate was arguably better than The Documentary though. It was just the rise of Kanye, slight decline of gangsta rap and the fact debuts are always overhyped that meant DA is never mentioned or recognised.
DC2 goat
My favorite rapper of all time
Of ALL TIME??! Jeez. You need to listen to more hip hop, that’s for sure.
Andy C stfu. Your favorite rapper is probably 2pac or biggie. Stfu that's his favorite it his. Not everybody's favorite rapper is 2pac or biggie. Mine is eminem.

Biggest debut ever. Dude just came into the rap game and became the biggest thing in the world. Dude dominated, GRODT is definitely a top 5 album EVER
if you were around and followed music from about 2002-2006, you'd know there was nobody bigger than 50..he had one of the greatest runs in not just rap, but in the entire music industry
50 cent is my favorite rapper I remember i was a lil ass kid playing blood on the sand and was like this guy is suck a badass so i went on the early days of youtube and used to just sit in my room all day listening to all his songs
ah man yea that is so true, i bumped fifty all day too and all the songs i could find that he was on, nut just the hits
surprisingly. . .that was a decent short doc! keep tht commin
On everything that's the 1st thing I thought!!!!! It wasnt rushed but it hit most of the highlights...with facts to follow! Superb job!
50's debut is the biggest "right out of the gate" blow up Hip Hop has ever seen yet he didn't win a Grammy for Best New Artist that year...
Wasn’t Straight Outta Compton NWA’s debut “album” or am I tripping. Cuz if it is then yeah it’s NWA. Give snoop dogg and Kanye and Game and Nelly runner ups behind 50 and NWA.
DeVince DeLowry Straight Outta Compton wasn’t bigger than Get Rich or Die Tryin
So Illmatic doesn’t exist
Triggerd non binary Feminist illmatic wasn’t as big as this album. Just look at the album sales
@@indubitablyso7874 He said "blow up." Illmatic didn't sell well out the gate. It took 2-3 years to go platinum. Nas didn't blow until It Was Written.

50 is an icon, one of the greatest rappers of all time, and get rich or die tryin is a top 5 hip hop album of all time. Fucking Legend
I was never a huge 50 fan (probably due to so many posers at my school killing the vibe) but I've really respected his honesty and hustle over the years.
I was a senior in high school dealing with alot of grown up issues. It was and still is the perfect soundtrack to my struggle.

5:37 - Chapter 4: Victory
kids today dont realize 50 had some fire joints when he came on the scene he tore the rap game up
Get Rich or Die Tryin when you come to think of it isn’t as lyrical as an album such as Illmatic or Enter the 36 Chambers imo. What makes it one of my top 5 albums is cause of how gangsta 50 made Hip-Hop and how Dr. Dre still reminded everybody how he was the top producer back in the day.
Kevin Limon not lyrical but his voice and the beats he would use were hard and matched his voice tone
Kevin Limon how gangster he made hip hop? Hip hop and rap been like that.... Mobb deep tupac cnn etc cmon man...
Elijah Williams I’m not saying hip hop wasn’t gangster but predominantly during that time a lot of rappers were more pop if you think about it. That’s when Ja Rule, Nelly and other pop themed rappers kinda ran the game lol
Kevin Limon oh ok he brought it back i see what your saying
I hate when people compare illmatic to grodt illmatic is a classic yes but I think that album is mediocre and yes it's my opinion but illmatic isn't even that lyrical either it's just the way nas put the album together is how it got so hot but either way all are good
Lmaoo damn Mase line was hard
lamojkjk1 definitely and it was the first time I heard it
