30 years ago i worked with an old guy who operated most types of equipment but mostly ran dozers and track loaders . We called him granny gear.He probably got a chuckle from this lol.
There is not! We'd have to swap hoses, or put a valve on,,due to the nature of the beast,it might not stay long enough to justify the cost of making it switchable, so once in a blue moon, I get to be verbally abusive towards the machine

It is easier (and probably safer) for a complete newbie to run an excavator than for an experienced operator to operate with backwards controls.
