God I love her. She is so talented and personable! I saw her perform at Hoxton Hall yesterday, she has this wonderful peaceful presence about her that's difficult to describe. Her lyrics are so rich and intricate, her voice is hauntingly beautiful, I don't get why she's not an inter-galactic superstar yet!
Brilliant. Poppy little song with a heavy, dark topic. The only attention she gets from friends and family is when she’s hurt, so she enjoys being hurt to get the attention she desperately needs. Genius songwriting. If you’re smart enough, you get it.
It's a song about self harming, and gaining attention (in this case from the parents) by getting hurt. As explained live on stage by Jesca Hoop at the Cloudspotting festival 2013.
Why would anyone go to a video of a song that they already know they hate just to talk about how much they hate it? That's the beauty of the internet people, if you don't like it you don't have to look at it, there are a million other videos/songs you can go watch and where your energy is better wasted. Leave this place for people who are here for positive reasons.
People coming to this video just to bash the song... I don't go to McDonalds to rip on McDonalds. I go to McDonalds because I secretly love it and feel ashamed. I strongly suspect the haters aren't as hate-y as they let on. Also, I think this song is genius. Jesca is brilliant.
It's a minor peeve of mine that you'll generally get back-up musicians listed by name & instrument, but dancers just end up 'dancers'. This particular case is tough to research, since the four of them seem to do a lot of performances together (so one has to work up a bit of a Venn diagram in one's head to work out who is who).
Even knowing the four back-up dancers' names, it's still hard to peg down which is the one who alternates between blue scrubbies and a green shirt with a navy blue overall/jumper.
Sacrifica un poco las creativas extravagancias de los dos primeros discos para ganar algo de comerciabilidad, es cierto. Pero como canción pop sigue estando bastante bien!
She opened for placebo...she was stoned, put the whole audience to sleep. She should have spent money on better gear and a band rather than this dumb video

Yeah. I agree 100%

Jesca is the best one-arm dancer I've ever seen. Props
AMAZING POP SONG!!!
I've got 5 weeks, 41 days, 1000 glorious hours to wave my arm and get what I want with my new-found powers. Brilliant lyric
Fun dancing! And her big smile reminds me of classic, nutty Carol Burnett.
I love this song so much, the lyrics are very brilliant

I thought so.
Jesca's poppiest sounding songs always have some unsettling current.
It’s actually about the wool trade in fifteenth century Lincolnshire
Your videos are always so whimsical! This was whimsical but so different from your past albums! Love!
So wonderful. Miss Hoop is pure genius
saw her with a friend during south by southwest earlier this month. she amazed us. one of the better live shows i've seen in years.

Much, much better
This reminds me of a Target commecial
You need to get out of the Mental ward and come visit me! Oaf!
PS: Great video direction, by the way!
We're sorry to read that.
Meanwhile, we're all loving it.
Jesca Hoop seems like she would be a genuinely fun gal to hang out with.
This is so me as a little kid.
Slumpcity showed me this
William, I'm very happy to make a professional introduction should you wish to retain any dancers for work. Best, Elia
I love you..

Cosmic Fairy Dance.
central america
why do you ask?
BOOOOOOO
Alright, how many of you looked up this song because you work at Polo?
the Kismet days...
I hate POLO!
Me too! They ought to take this song off, or just turn the speakers off!
Hmm... el único tema de Jesca que no me gusta mucho.

Es la peor que ha sacado. Y es realmente horrible. Haré como que nunca ví esta mierda.
Qué decepción con Jesca. Espero que haya sido sólo un tropiezo.
This is better than katy perry
By far
under a rock composed of lameness it seems. jaja
Kismet and Hunting are awesome...this? meh.
I work at Polo Ralph Lauren, love the job, HATE this song with a passion! Literally the stupidest, most horrid song I ever heard.

I HATE this song sooo much.
