It was extremely fiddly but I just ended up placing the button on the hinge part and then clamping it back up. I would recommend doing this before you stick any of the flex down. Hope this helps
Also reading a lot of people having issues installing the power bracket back in place the way to do it is install the bracket at a 90 degree angle so it's vertical to the pin it slots onto then straighten it so it sits flush then screw into place became foul not to force it or you will damage power flex cable
Thanks for the video! It helped me a lot to change my flexcable. But it was very hard for me. i was just hoping that my iPhone works after that :D BUT IT WORKS :D!

Hi Jarnail Singh, Thank you for the comment and most of the ones we sell come with the adhesive or if they do not you can either use the adhesive that is left from the old one or a little double sided tape will work. Hey, when I try to assemble the power button, it is OK at start. However, whenever I tighten the screw for the power button, the power button itself 'goes down when I press it, but it does not automatically go up. How can I fix this? I bought a new button already..
Same happened with mine, I ended up using a longer screw and not tightening it in all the way. I think the position of the button on the little swing arm has to be very exact
After I replaced the battery the phone still doesn't charge and it got hot when I touch it, I think something burning inside while charging. Please help. (iPhone 5s)
Hi trinh nguyen, Thank you for the comment and Please check and try the following: Make sure the battery is connected all the way? (Try to re-seat the connector from the battery to the main board) Update to the latest iOS? (Make sure to backup before the iOS update) If you are unable to update the iOS with the new battery try and re-install the old battery and see if you can perform the update. Then after the update install the new battery. Are you using original OEM or MFi certified cables and wall charger from Apple? (Knock off cables/charges will cause issues) There are other parts that make up the process of charging the battery. The charge port can sometimes be bad or have issue which make it look like the battery is the problem. Also there is a charging circuit on the main board and when it has issues again it can make it look like the issue is the battery. These are things to consider when trying to find the cause of something that looks like a battery issue. At this time there is no solution or test to isolate if the issue is the battery, charge port or the charging circuit on the main board.
Just wanted to thank you for these videos! Extremely helpful!!

My advice is.. please don't a white table.. :c
Is it necessary to replace the cable? My sisters power button is pretty much fucked, guess its the button mechanism that is worn up?
mastersun188 then replace the button but it's recommended just in case you break it buy a flex cable aswell they are super cheap
After I replaced the battery the phone still doesn't charge and it got hot when I touch it, I think something burning inside while charging. Please help. (iPhone 5s)

Be careful on the video one forgets to put the important little details
If you are going to post a statement like this then follow it up with what "important little details" are we missing then?
yeah, but he is right. some little things are left over. all in all it worked really fine and i am thankful, but the commenter got a point.
