42:30 & 53:30 popped the speed brakes out for a bit, must have hit a speed restriction on the approach. Always a good video.

Cool video! That looked like a flaps 15 landing!
On most jets I've seen the flaps are near vertical down. Don't know why this 737 uses such a small amount of flaps for landing. They look like take-off mode.
Gary Gray Yep, I was wondering the same thing, sometimes winds or runway length can affect the degree of flaps put out. ORD has long runways so they don’t need to slow down a whole bunch.
@@denflyer832 Okay, come in faster, get to the gate sooner. Since flaps create a lot of drag they're saving time and fuel. I've flown Southwest a bunch of times and sometimes their pilots are like cab drivers. Except Southwest pilots have a sense of humor.

I'm pretty sure that was a flap 15 landing given that the only options are 15, 30, & 40. The reason for their choice of 15 was most likely the same reason why it was very turbulent all the way down...wind. A strong headwind will cause a slow approach speed so 15 would be ideal. A strong crosswind would mean the more flaps you have, the more negative effects the strong wind causes. Pretty hard touchdown too!

looks like the same flap setting for takeoff at dca as landing in ord, lol wonder if that's 15 or 20.

Which airline is your favorite
I don't know that I would say I have a favorite. I fly American more than anyone else, but that's mainly because my home airport is Joplin, Missouri (JLN) and American is the only carrier that serves the airpot. Plus, I try to fly on at least one airline enough to maintain some level of status on. I enjoy flying on all of the airlines, but I guess to try to answer your question. American is typically my go to airline.
