Ghosts of Tsushima pc port still has a PSN requirement for online play. I think they're going to try to force PS+ subs for online eventually.
I won't have faith until people stop playing the game. It's an amazingly fun game, but people need to stop playing it if they're going to be treated like garbage.

Reminder that Democracy only works when people are armed. In this case people were armed with the power of the negative review. Democracy doesn't work when authority doesn't fear the people.
That's why companies absolutely hate it when random people can give reviews, and not just their shills that they have on their payrolls, the so-called "critics" and "authoritative sources".
Companies would love nothing more than for platforms to only allow "Critics" to review their products, because they can control and influence the "Critics" to give favorable reviews, but they can't do shit to control the average joe.
Capitalism, NOT democracy. Democracy is about government. Helldivers is a product/service. What worked here is the huge number of people saying we won't buy that and don't agree to having our product degraded AFTER purchase.

We also had the law on our side, not just reviews.
And while just a few players would never be able to get past the wall of lawyers Sony have,
when they pissed of 200 000+ at the same time. Enough could get trough to make Sony lose the lawsuit.
And, if sony lost one, then everyone who came after could use that breach to win.
What they did, goes against EU law, at least.
Also, if it became known that Sony blocked Ukraine from joining, it would be a PR nightmare for them.
So they backed of. But I honestly fear they will try again. They do not seem the smartest bunch.
So, we must be ready for that day, to do it again.

2:03 this is honestly a good change i think. A couple days ago i was playing with friends and accidently placed an SOS beacon. We wanted to just play with just us but we didnt want to kick them mid operation without explanation so we kept them around till the end of the operation. So being able to give a reason for the kick will be a nice change for me
So why you dont invite your friend on your game why open your game and kick People of your bc you dont put your game on private?

@@mehdiyilmaz6194 he said he was playing private, but accidentally placed a SOS beacon. A SOS beacon allows people to joineven if you set the game to private.
@@mehdiyilmaz6194when you throw an SOS the game opens itself up to any players the problem is you don’t have to confirm the sos once it’s down so if you mess smth up and throw it there will now be players in your squad if you are unlucky
@@mehdiyilmaz6194 the friendlist bug in game can stop steam friends joining if they dont show up in your in game friends list. I imagine the same for PS players. Aka you're forced to make it public.

I don't trust them, there needs to be a straight forward announcement that PSN will not be mandatory to play ONLINE before I even think about going back. Not just a tweet, something far more legally binding.
That and that code needs to be completely stripped from the code, it’s too easy of a toggle on thing atm

The speed at which Sony reversed course, effectively just after enough time for a meeting on Monday morning suggests to me their was a significant legal exposure and as Steam was giving out refunds outside the normal period I'd guess they thought so too, but I don't trust them either, the mod team has had to many incidents now and they all seemed a little too excited to get the power to ban PC players... I'll probably play on and off but I'm wary now.
they did edit the original announcement on steam recently.

He said that its not Sony's actions that Steam refrained 170+ countries from buying the game, It was Valve themselves. They did that to protect future and new players from buying the game because they'd probably be scammed just like us.
And he also said that with you changing your negative comments and feedbacks might help recovering the game to its original state and Steam would open the game again for delisted countries.

Ya publishers have all the power. How people still dont understand the relationship between publisher and developer in 2024 is honestly mindblowing.
Sony may own the IP and publishing rights, but transparency about what goes on within the game relies solely on the shoulders of the CEO and Community Managers. They admitted straight up that they weren't as straight forward with the PSN requirement and why it wasn't enforced right away. People had every right to be upset, especially given Sony's history with being unreliable in protecting their users information, not even including the 100+ countries that were no longer going to be able to play the game anymore after purchasing it without said requirement.

Steam did it as a way of keeping people from buying a game they wouldn’t be able to play. With the issue resolved, Steam is probably going to undo that, but the pressure isn’t on them so it will probably be done sometime next week/month. So that’s an issue with Steam, not the game.
Everyone who already owns the game can play it right now, new players in those regions will just have to wait a little bit.
Sure. They said they will not require the link BUT they still haven't change the ToS. It still said it require PSN link.
basically, it's still not clear if they are going to back up with the whole PSN linking thing, is still not clear if the people that live in countries where the game has been pulled away on steam will ever be able to play again, but the playerbase already is changing the reviews to positive. So, after a few months of silence, first they will give rewards to people linking their account, then they will phase account linking by country, gradually, then they will conveniently never mention again those countries the game was pulled away from, and people will still be there with their positive reviews.
Negative reviews should stay on until they confirm that no PSN linking will be ever required and the game is activated again worldwide, otherwise this was all for nothing.
Mine won't be pulled for that reason, and the reason that there is no official hard line saying they won't spy on us using biometrics. In fact, they've pretty much said they are still going to find a way to do so.

I'm near certain they've paid every community leader on YT to try to smooth things over to get more sells going. Eventually, the game will be yesterdays news, and it won't matter if they require it. The damage will have already been done. Players are giving in way too early.
Unfortunately, the mass majority of people in the world are followers. Unfortunately, without the followers, 15k negatives aren't enough to change anything. Sad.
Im still not playing the game until we figure out what the situation is for everybody. Same goes for the review, its not changing until we know whats going on. Things have turned in a good direction and im happy that they have lets just keep it moving in that direction.

At this point i still haven't reinstalled the game yet nor have i changed my review. Even though i am very happy about the change. We still have helldivers that are still unable to play, this is only my feelings but i can't until this matter gets resolved. Sorry if this disappoints others.
Not only your feelings. Same here. However, 15k isn't going to change Soyns mind. They'll leave them in the cold now that the YT leaders are hyping a "victory".

The only helldivers that can't play are ones that didn't buy the game before it was delisted in those regions, everyone in those regions can still play if they bought it.

I dont tolerate toxic behavior when i play helldivers. If some one says 'stop being trash' in a helldive or even a hard mission, I dont tolerate it. I tell them 'hey not cool, dont do it again.' If they retort with something harsh or even continue I kick them. I dont need the extra stress from playing with people being elitist.
I agree. Me and my friends are very toxic to each other but for good fun that is. Someone else who joins and acts like an elitist is an instant kick for me. We just want to have fun. That's all.

@termlesscipher8045 I love using the German style armor, fast but still grants decent armor for it being light armor.
Haven't played in awhile but planned on jumping back on since all thay drama seems to be settled for now. Tomorrow gonna be a busy day with storms though. So who knows that'll happen.

really happy that one of the bugs theyre going to fix is the hellbomb stratagem bouncing and rolling off for the detector tower, recently ive just been using 500kgs on the towers instead (they work if you drop them 5m from the tower), also ive noticed that the bouncing hellbomb issue is occuring for the jammer as well

I’d imagine if the CM’s were doing their job and not antagonizing players, just helping communicate, they might not be harassed. Just a thought
I wonder if they know about the accessibility issue. On PC entering strategems is super easy with the arrow keys, and you can change strategem to click instead of hold, but on PS5 you have to use the D pad. You can also change from click to hold, and you can also remap the direction pad to ⬅= 🟧, ⬇= ❌, ➡= ⭕, and ⬆= 🔺. At that point I can tap shoulder button and use buttons as directional inputs, however when trying to use a terminal I get kicked out when pressing the ⭕ button since it's also how you cancel.
I tried the Eruptor, and the no-shrapnel change is pretty noticeable. I personally liked it more before this, because it did lots of contact and aoe damage. Now there's almost no aoe, but it's just as good at contact damage so it's still nice. It doesn't feel overpowered anymore, just an alternative to other weapons

or the one with the most samples above 10 and the supers gets immunity just in case some player
did some unintentional team kill won't be kicked maybe...
2-4 outposts destroyed immunity since that player is doing those or the optional objectives...

If a helldiver joins a public lobby and goes off to solo objectives, I kick them. They take away fun from the group instead of just playing solo in their own lobby
@@Marty13B People do that so the mission goes by quicker, why do you complain about something which benefits you? If they do a horrible job then yeah, i'd see why you'd get angry; but if they're actually doing the objectives you will have more time to get samples and not stress about when the timer reaches 0.
@@Marty13B😂 you are one of those that don't understand how the game works. If the solo guy does all the sample Gathering and secondary stuff the others 3 can focus on the main mission. Usually is either you go full Force for everything going full squad all time but will take more time wasted to run all the map. Usually the best way is either go 2 and 2, both duos focusing on different objectives or the 3 and 1 for me. It gets things quicker. At least talk to the dude before ban him.

Yeah that's Valve doing that. They won't allow those countries to be restored until they can be sure Sony won't backtrack. Valve was dragged into this and they aren't happy about it lol.
How about fixing the issues with bile titan corpses that launch me into the air and I get killed or damaged each time I land. Please fix asap please.
the new patch fixes the plasma punisher bug. before if you had a shield on and shot the punisher, it would richochet and take like half your life bar. thats with explosive armor on. Glad they fixed it

As far as the patch goes.. One thing i wonder about calling down a 500KG bomb or similar. It used to be that when you marked an enemy with a strategem bomb the bomb would follow the enemy where the red beacon is. Now it only lands right where the original spot your threw it is. So im confused as to how its actually supposed to be. I would prefer it to be how it used to be so that bile Titans can eat a 500KG bomb every time they get marked.
It literally takes a day to message steam and re add those regional locations that were locked from helldivers

There's also a problem where one of my friends can't join an online lobby because of the anti-cheat apparently. He says it's because he is starlink And the anti-cheat doesn't like that so he can't join us. I haven't seen anyone else bringing this issue up in months
I like the Spear alot I use it a lot too.. the focus is a little bit off but i make it work.
I encountered a weird bug. I was in the hellpod, finishing my setup before going into a mission. I was the only one that wasn't ready. I pressed the button to confirm I was ready before canceling because I remembered I forgot to change something. It canceled but since the game still thought everyone was ready the game started and mine crashed. I launched the game again and I joined my friend's squad to get back into the lobby, but once I arrived on the planet I was invincible, the bugs attacked me but the attacks didn't register. After some time my game crashed again and my friend's as well, maybe because he was the host. I wonder if it was because of the anti-cheat.
having someone risk spitzs' personal security is basically a criminal offense and is a very serious crime, that deserves some detective work right there.

My buddy has some glitch where he can’t purchase any of his acquisitions. He’s stuck at 250 medals and he can’t do anything about it.
i found a bug hole bug that after you destroy the bug hole if you walk near it it sends you to the shadow realm and all your gear just drops to the ground and if anyone else goes to get it it does the same to them.

Turning off IPV6 fixed my inability to connect to other divers games, but the random disconnects still happen only after stuttering seconds before.

It really just needs to be an opt in rewarded feature. Thats all Sony needs to do. The people who don’t care won’t care and will do it. The people that do care will see the shiny carrot and roll their eyes. When you do bad and make it a forced requirement will make everyone balk and pull back on the reigns.

The one bug they should immediately patch on the game is called Sony, that bug is breaking games one after another

I am guessing that Valve is going to be requiring something official/legal about not requiring PSN accounts, so that they can relist the game for people in those regions. I would doubt that Valve just accepts a "trust us" given what happened already.
