I kid you not.. I think about Jumpstart K, 1st grade, and 2nd grade all the time. The memories from these three games are so very special to me. It’s super refreshing reading all of these comments from other people my age and seeing that it meant that way to us all. It really is nostalgic bliss and you just had to be there. Kids today would never understand how special these games truly are. I told my brother I wanted to play this game again and he laughed at me. He just doesn’t understand the magic we all got to experience. What a blessing ❤ Candy and toy island.. and the castle.. are such blissful memories.
Oh man I looked up this video just to see the candy island again because it left such a big impression on me as a child. It’s crazy how detailed that scene is despite being something most kids would solve in under a minute.
same, I dunno what is that thing that excites me as a child but , Everything I see in this game makes me play it so much. I always go also in the candy Island
After almost a week of searching I finally found this game and I literally started jumping for joy when I found it. I remember everything from the lost-and-found game to the vending machine game and even the art room even though I never knew what the point of that room was. Finding this video will connect me to a piece of my childhood that I'll never forget.
Thank u for blessing us w this precious trip down memory lane! I remember spending hours playing this, especially helping the octopus chef cause I find the way he talks very funny 😂
This game randomly popped into my head the other day at work and I couldn’t remember what it was! I distinctly remember the soup game, the art room with the spooky mansion picture and candyland. The nostalgia Is REAL. Those days were so magical. I miss being a kid
I use to play this game very often when I was between the ages of 5-6. I'm now 23. The Nostalgia just came gushing in, along with many other priceless childhood memories. My mom would always be around when I played it, sadly she's no longer on this earth and i'm remembering the instances where she would give me hints. I wish I could play this game again. Thank you for this.
NGL this was the best Jumpstart game. They really stepped up on this for some reason lol (The music, game, the feeling of going on treasure hunts, characters, are all amazing.)
Randomly remembered this game a few days ago. Don't know why lol😅. I remember playing this when I was a kid at the library! I loved it! Never did complete it. Thanks for the nostalgia! ❤
I remember playing this version when I was younger, but I had no idea there was an original version of this game from 1995 until now. I actually played both versions of Jumpstart 1st Grade as a little girl, too!😁
I loved this game SO much as a kid. It was my comfort game. I’m 29 and wanted to see the special islands again. 😂 Thank you so much for uploading this!
Me, six years old: This game makes spelling fun! Over a Decade Later Owl 1:10:49 : Spell the word C-U-P! Me, an adult with a job: Now hold on a darn second
My native language is Spanish, my dad always raised us telling us that English is such an important language to learn because it always opens more doors to better opportunities He'd get us these games so we could learn English from a young age, needless to say I'm pretty fluent in English now and is all thanks to my dad who'd take the time to sit down and play these games with us. I love you dad.
Bro.. I was wondering why I couldn't find the version I had played. I did not realize it was this version (2000) not the (1997) one. I remember playing this game on our old CRT Monitor, a very ancient PC but it was the most relaxing and fun time I ever had when me and my brother was a kid. I'm almost 27 now and I feel old..
Lol, now I'm 28 Years Old, and it's been roughly 20 years since the last time I played this! Surprised I kind of remembered some of this stuff! Before I clicked on this video, I thought there was a game with pogo sticks. Lo and behold there it is!
This was my shit before bedtime lol and after I'm done with homework. I remember dashing under the covers before the Windows shutdown tune pops up cuz it scares me. Good ol' days fellas
Oh my gosh I finally found it! THE MEMORIES HAHAHAHAHA I was looking for this take for WEEKS and couldn’t remember which exact one it was. My goodness.. the way memories flood back
I remember getting bored in the middle of kindergarten class and getting up and playing this game without permission. I'd do this every single day until I beat the game. I was so obsessed with it 😂
How does the “Land Before Time Preview” button on the Auto Play menu become visible, compared to the autoplay screen on my copy of the 2000 re-release of JumpStart Kindergarten 1998 Edition, which only has an empty space? Is there a way to unlock the “Land Before Time Preview” button so that it shows up on the autoplay screen or is there a rare version of the CD that has the Land Before Time button pre-attached to the rest of the files on the disc
I’m going to cry. This was the absolute best game of my childhood. 😭😭😭😭
Mine too
Yes!!!
Same here
I'd still play this if I could. Not ashamed.
There's nothing wrong with wanting to relive your childhood.
Nothing to be ashamed about.
I’m not Ashamed. I will also play Freddie fish in a heart beat if given the opportunity
Amen!
I will go out of my way to buy jumpstart first grade on eBay if it’s there!
Sweet lord, my childhood.
*This.*
The opening theme popped into my head, so I looked for the game itself.
You missed out on the 1995 version. Lol
I'm 23 years old and I remember playing this game in school when I was 6. My god, it's been such a long time!
Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas 🎁🎄

This is literally my childhood. I"m watching this at work and I want to cry.

Good stuff.
After almost a week of searching I finally found this game and I literally started jumping for joy when I found it. I love this-the soothing voice of the Hippo teacher brings back many memories.
I’ve been looking for this game forever and I finally found it

Nostalgic favorites have been entertaining me during this current quarantine.
NGL this was the best Jumpstart game. They really stepped up on this for some reason lol
(The music, game, the feeling of going on treasure hunts, characters, are all amazing.)
Holy cow this takes me back. I remember playing this game RELIGIOUSLY when I was a kid. The pizza game and book club were by far my favorites.
this warmed my 24 year old heart. this my fav PC game. I am not ashamed to play this again.
I have legit found this video as I've had the octopus saying vanILLa in my head now for a week!
My eyes got misty in the first 20 seconds
I have never forgotten this game, nor it's iconic intro music. I'm 30 now. :(
Bro i got in trouble for playing this game in like 3rd grade when i found it on the school computer (the school didnt want us to find it)
I loved this game as a kid 😂 I miss it very much! I would definitely play this game again if I could
"I'd like you to buy.... MILK!!!!"
We don’t have Malk but we do have some milk.
I cant believe this was released 23 years ago.
Looks very 2000’s, with the dynamic shading and cel animation.
I played the OG 1995 version.
I’m 27 and I still would play this game again if I could.
I'm 26 and I still think about this game all the time
oh the nostalgia. those were such wonderful times
Randomly remembered this game a few days ago. Don't know why lol😅. I remember playing this when I was a kid at the library! I loved it! Never did complete it. Thanks for the nostalgia! ❤
Oh my gosh, memories! All of these childhood learning games.
OMG i remember spending most of my time at the art class. oh memories
One of the biggest parts of my childhood, right here. And it's funny. It's for the 1st grade but I started playing when I was in kindergarten.
Same!!
And that was how I was ahead of the school. Amazing what computer games are capable of when it comes to teaching children.
Did you know that the piece that plays in the Book Club activity is Bach's "Prelude in C Major"?
2:04 Frankie digging and getting Floyd covered with dirt. LOL
Jump start 1st grade bring me back the good old days.
I remember playing this version when I was younger, but I had no idea there was an original version of this game from 1995 until now. I actually played both versions of Jumpstart 1st Grade as a little girl, too!😁
@thanomyloans2585 For quite a while
Why do I remember playing this as if it was yesterday and not 22 freaking years
I’ve been looking for this game forever
Man putt-putt travels through time and jump start 1st grade was my child hood!!
I loved this game SO much as a kid. It was my comfort game. I’m 29 and wanted to see the special islands again. 😂 Thank you so much for uploading this!
Me, six years old: This game makes spelling fun!
Over a Decade Later
Owl 1:10:49 : Spell the word C-U-P!
Me, an adult with a job: Now hold on a darn second
Adult brain: 1 Childhood: 0
Too many memories man.. thanks for this
I wish i grew up with this version. This looks a lot more fun than the original.
This was kinda refreshing to see. I only had the original 1st Grade. Frakie’s Voice sounds better here than the original.
I remembered spending countless hours messing around with the paint tool and even printed some of my works.
The art room definitely shaped my love for decorating in sims.
So this is where my childhood went
My native language is Spanish, my dad always raised us telling us that English is such
an important language to learn because it always opens more doors to better opportunities
He'd get us these games so we could learn English from a young age, needless to say
I'm pretty fluent in English now and is all thanks to my dad who'd take the time to

The painting in this was sick!!
Oh my gosh I miss this!! I need to search Steam for this now. I found Freddy Fish and Putt-Putt that way so fingers crossed!
Lol, now I'm 28 Years Old, and it's been roughly 20 years since the last time I played this! Surprised I kind of remembered some of this stuff! Before I clicked on this video, I thought there was a game with pogo sticks. Lo and behold there it is!
I was trying to find this!! The nostalgia is overwhelming!!
BRO, I PLAYED THIS GAME SO MUCH IN THE LIBRARY!
Me too!
I have to admit, the 2000 version is a lot cuter compared to the 1995 version.
The nostalgia is insane I played this at 6 years old😭🥲
Wow I remember playing this 23 yrs ago when I was 5......The kitchen was my favorite 😭😭 ahhh the nostalgia 💖💖💖
IM CRYING. I CAN'T. THE MEMORIES. THE KITCHEN THE TREASURE HUNT THE BGM

I wish jumpstart 2nd grade was upgraded just like toddlers, preschool, kindergarten, 1st, and 4th grade.
Flashback to little me playing JumpStart games all the time.
If I had my old Jumpstart CD's and a computer that could play them, I'd do it.
This was my shit before bedtime lol and after I'm done with homework. I remember dashing under the covers before the Windows shutdown tune pops up cuz it scares me.
Good ol' days fellas
This is how I remember Jumpstart. 1:30:25
I can't tell you the last time my heart felt this warm
This brings back so many memories of my grandmas old house
Nigmodeeatchicken Givemedailenpussyboss Yes!! I would spend every weekend over my grandmas house as a kid, i would play this all weekend. 😭

I always liked the octopus chef man :P
This...might possibly be the first video game I ever played? Or at least one of the first.
This randomly popped into my brain when I was working last night. And it made me think... God almighty I want my childhood back.
I remember getting bored in the middle of kindergarten class and getting up and playing this game without permission. I'd do this every single day until I beat the game. I was so obsessed with it 😂

Thanks so much for doing this.
This was my faaaaaavorite! And ClueFinders! I'm glad I looked it up, I woke up with the tune in my head
I miss playing this! 😭
OMG! I used to play this when I was super little!!!
Even as a kid, I always found weird that all the students are humans while all the teachers and staff are animals. Not to mention, only one classroom.
I remember this from my childhood days. I just now found this again
9:30 well 'play' seems more like an umbrella term in this case. They very well could have done the other two things.
This was my little brothers game I had the 4th grade one but I played this one cuz it was more fun.
Whoopsy! Not right! But don't worry. I'll eat it. You should make a video of Chef Gumbo eating the wrong order.
I’ve been looking for this game for years
1:26:02 The sound is so satisfying when you put the ingredients in.
Wow this is way different compared to the 1995 version.
For real. Especially the animation, looks less cartoony.
OMG THE NOSTALGIA I’M GONNA CRY
Oh god the feels! When we had our first computer in 2001 this was one of our games lmao.
Jumpstart 1st grade for 2000 is the real mostly amazing PC game ever of my Childhood =D
Nostalgia. 😢
