You were better off, I had this and thought it sucked! Was to small and nothing like the base in the cartoon .. Was no flooring or any places for figs inside.. basically it was made cheap. So I made my base out of boards, which came out better .
@@leekenney9214 I still think it makes a good display piece and the features are cool but if they wanted to make a whole Cats Lair playset then they should’ve made the entire line smaller. Like, this lair could’ve worked with a 3.75” toy line

When I was quite the youngster my Mom worked at this private summer camp and I think pre K or Kindergarten. Joan Jetts niece or nephew, I think niece went there and came for a parent/teacher type deal and I got a signed photo and pic. Any who, at one point some girl, older than me used to help when my Mom agreed to shuffle the little brats to and fro and would make sure theirs seats were buckled well. Well her Dad worked for LJN so you mentioning that really brought back some L.I. nostalgia. We used to get all sorts of toys at base price, but I think it was not at the time of these toys. I got lots of Dungeons & Dragons toys and lots of E.T. figurines and a host of other stuff. Laura you have made my day with this video. The memories. Thank you dear.
This is the one major playset I never had. I managed to get the one's I didn't have as a kid (Technodrome, Fright Zone, Mumm-ra's Tomb, Moon Nordor) all off of ebay at about £50 each but the Cats Lair is impossible to find at a decent price! This and Eternia are my holy grails.

I have a Cats Lair with absolutely nothing to it. The head is loose, no front doors, no piece, it’s basically an empty shell but au only paid about $25 I think for it so I’m still pretty happy with it. I hope to get more of the pieces for it separately eventually but I’m discovering even doing just that is pricey

We are five days and two years apart so we used to share a birthday pretty much. I was sooo mad he got the lair and I got the tomb 😂😂 but we had a good ole time 😂

Wow, she’s a gorgeous woman, and she’s weird too, but I do remember this toy, yet I never owned one, and again I was more interested in girls back in 1986, but I did watch 1986 cartoon though.
If i weren't a broke- ass college kid I'd get it. the Thundercats were basically part of my childhood in a nutshell. the rest was composed of anime from the 90s that very few people remember, the Power Rangers, and Godzilla movies 😌
