Sorry Adrian I wanted to say "rewatch" and my comment was made for your video on Trados 😄. I don't know what happened. I'll copy and paste onto the right one.
There is a problem facing me , I'm a medical student, so I decided to be a medical translator ( Arabic & English ) .. so I signed up on freelancer, Upwork, fiver But no one of clients choose me just because I don't have experience Rather than that they're choosing non specialized translators How can I make a customer choose me , how can I get my first review
You need to build up an experience portfolio. Make sure to check out my video on the Permission Paradox for this. Also, you might want to reach out to your network in the medical field rather than using platforms like fiverr and upwork. These sites are more for generalists than for specialists. And then thirdly, it takes a lot of time, dedication and creativity. Simply being on these three sites will not launch your career, you need to think outside the box.
@@Freelanceverse thanks Adrian ♥️ I'm gonna watch the video You don't know how much I trust you Actually I didn't take any step till I watched almost most of your videos I just wanted to make a little money till I graduate to help my parents But you know , it's much harder than I thought
Hello Adrian ! I just want to ask you if freelance translation is an option for someone who has a scientific background but very skilled in several languages? If so, can they be taken seriously in this field or a certificate is a must? Thank you so much for your videos 😊
Are these only for certified translators or can I still apply even if I have no professional experience with translation whatsoever? Thanks in advance!
Hello Adrian, I want to start freelancing as a translator as I'm fully bilingual (Spanish and English), but I'm not too sure whether they'll accept me to work for them or not. To summarize a bit, I'm currently enrolled in History at a university in Canada, but I did get training in Translation with a certification, but have little to no experience in the field, will any of these sites that you mentioned hire me even though I'm a beginner?
Hi there, you will be fine even without much experience. Your degree will help a lot. Check out my video on the Permission Paradox. There I explain how to grow a portfolio even without real life jobs.
Hi! I have a Masters degree in English language and literature I'm native/bilingual in Hugarian and Serbian. Do you have any recimmendations for me how to start freelancing?

@@Freelanceverse I wrote you an email few days back asking about them...the were offering translator / subtitling jobs, I applied, past tests but I am not happy with the Confidentiality Agreement and Contract Agreement. I could do with some help here...not sure about signing it ... not sure if its fair and straight for both sides...
Hi Zuzana, unfortunately I have never heard of them. If you're not comfortable with the NDA then definitely dont sign it. Or at least ask the company for some clarification on the points that are worrying you. A quick search on Proz showed that they have a 4.9/5 rating, so based on that it should be ok to work with them.
