How did he shell the last tow faces at 4:17 ? I do not understand, he 1st shell the 2 cylindrical faces with thickness 5mm so there should be a 5mm thick material behind those 2 faces that he selected @ 4:17, so if he shell the last 2 faces with 3mm thickness then there should a 2mm material still be remaining out of the 5mm material that he previously shell with the cylindrical faces.
    Somebody please explain !!

      same question here

My guess is that for the different thickness he didn't select the end faces, so those were only 3mm thick. Since he selected the end faces for the 3mm shell, that resulted in 0mm thickness aka a hole

at the points where those two 26mm bosses meet the inside of the shelled part - it should be a smooth, flush face, but you have built the model so that there is a step (go to 3:58 to see what I mean). I am having the same issue. The drawing shows a flush inside face, all the way around the inner hollow profile.

Hi. Could you tell me how to have your model colors? Shadows, tone, material etc?

    • @solidworks

Claudio Ciseria In this case the tone and texture are set by the material (1060 alloy). Here's a quick run through of changing colors/materials: ruclips.net/video/0xO8pXvoem8/видео.html

My FOS came out to be 2.62 instead of 2.76219 here. Anybody got something similar?

Depending on the mesh quality, 25% difference may occur in the same piece. I really wonder how they evaluate FOS value in the competition? A wide range of answers is needed, and someone with errors in their drawing can unwittingly hit this range. I got 2.93 (medium mesh quality) and 2.26 (fine mesh quality).
